Great location, clean rooms, good miubtain views, very nice breakfast but more importantly I was impressed with the little details - free porridge available from 9pm-11pm, plenty of options for breakfast both Chinese and Western, comfortable pillows (the hotel sells these pillows too), the delivery robots, great quality toiletries as well as shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. But the best part of the hotel and my stay were the staff. I requested help with booking entrance tickets to the National Park and other areas and Heyhey helped me through the process via Wechat. She patiently explained every tiny detail including preparing an itinerary for me. She also kept in touch with me while she had taken days off, helped me with ordering food or finding restaurants in the area. Her colleague was equally amazing, helping me with my online orders, even walking with me across the street, to help me find the places I was looking for. When you're in a new country where language can be tricky, their kindness and warm attitude made me feel welcomed.
On the negative side, I would like to see Atour reducing their plastic waste. Every bath towel and hand towel is wrapped in plastic, getting new packets each day. I found that wasteful, even if the plastic is recyclable.
Also, my room which was on the 5th floor (room # 522), was directly under the kitchen/breakfast area and every morning at about 4am, I was disturbed with sounds of things being dragged on the floor or noises from the breakfast area directly above my room. I stayed for 3 nights and this was consistent every morning.
Weighting the pros and cons, book your stay with this Hotel without hesitation but ask for a room that is not under the kitchen area.
