The place is dated but well maintained. Toiletries are not in the room but centrally dispensed. Restaurant recommendation list only in Japanese.

I booked 2 Junior suite including breakfast for 2 nights. Totally enjoyed our stay. The room were huge and comes with view of the ski slope although there was no snow as it was lull season. The breakfast was buffet style Japanese food.

There is a free shuttle to and from the station. I emailed the hotel. There was a link to a message where the schedule is buried in a long page but would be better to paste in or attach the actual time table. Also you need to book in advance. Nevertheless when I emailed them the bus arrived in a few minutes. The driver was very professional. Reception was very polite and efficient. Hotel is large and old but clean. Still uses physical keys. Nice onsen. Coffee bag is only 1 per stay, not per day. Bring your own.

NASPA New Otani Perfect family stay with spacious rooms and great snow park for kids! "We had a wonderful stay at NASPA New Otani. The hotel's location is very convenient, not far from the train station, and the free shuttle bus service is available throughout the day, which made our travels so easy. We stayed in a Japanese Style Room, and it was incredibly spacious at 50 square meters. It was perfect for our family of three (parents and our 3-year-old child). There was plenty of room for our little one to run around and play comfortably without feeling cramped. The private snow park at the hotel is fantastic, especially for young children. Our child had so much fun playing in the snow, and it felt very safe and family-friendly. We are truly impressed with the hospitality and the facilities. We are already planning to come back and stay here again next year! Highly recommended for families."

Room is spacious. Free access to onsen within hotel. The package I got had breakfast and dinner buffet which saved us a lot of time (no need to find places to eat). There is shuttle bus to bring us to the town centre and access to other ski reports in Yuzawa.

Here This is a nice hotel with a good location and a convenient shuttle service. The ski garden is very enjoyable for both children and adults. We stayed in a Japanese-style room with a beautiful view, which made the stay even more pleasant. However, the checkout time feels too early at 10:00 AM, especially considering that check-in is only available from 3:00 PM. Another issue was the futon bed setup. The hotel schedules it at 6:00 PM, but I requested to move it just one hour earlier to 5:00 PM because my child wanted to rest. Unfortunately, the hotel could not accommodate this request. I don’t quite understand why such a simple service request could not be fulfilled. Breakfast was fairly good, although the variety of options was somewhat limited.

Facilities: Excellent, with direct access to Naspa Ski Resort. Cleanliness: Great, very clean. Environment: The hotel provides an hourly shuttle service to Yuzawa Station. There's a wide variety of dining options within the hotel. Service: Excellent, I would definitely come back.

The hotel is a bit dated, but the service was good. The price was quite high during the winter holiday, and it was a bit disappointing that it didn't snow. The buffet was just okay and not really to my taste, but overall, it was still decent.

The room was a bit dated, but the main issue was how uncomfortable the duvet was. They just had a sheet under the duvet instead of the duvet being properly covered with a duvet cover. The sheet kept getting tangled at night and wouldn't stay tucked in. The hotel's main advantage is its own ski resort. While not huge, it's perfectly fine for beginners, and only allows two-plank skiing. Plus, the hotel includes ski tickets, and there's a ski rental shop nearby, which is quite convenient. A slight annoyance was that check-in isn't until 3 PM; we arrived at 2:30 PM and had to sit in the lobby until 3. The large public bath was spacious and good for showering. On a side note, on our way back, the shuttle bus was full, so the hotel sent a separate minivan for my family, which was excellent! We really felt valued!

The hotel is quite large but definitely a bit dated. The shuttle service to and from Jr station is very convenient. The breakfast and dinner area is huge, easily accommodating a thousand people, I'd say. The food is just average. Skiing is limited to two-boards only. It's not as crowded as other resorts like Gala, IwaPPaRa, or Nakano, which is a plus, as it's less busy. Overall, it's all about value for money.

Conveniently located near Yuzawa Ski Resort, making getting around a breeze. The hotel's shuttle service was a lifesaver. Food was decent. We did run into a couple of minor issues during our stay: the room door lock broke right after we checked in, and the safe malfunctioned too. However, the front desk was quick to send someone to fix them each time, which was impressive. Overall, it's a pretty standard hotel with a few minor facility quirks, but the responsive service more than made up for it. Generally satisfied.

Had a fantastic stay, truly lives up to its reputation as the top hot spring inn in the area!

Coming out of the west exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Shinkansen Station, there's a free shuttle service that runs every 10 minutes or so in the morning, and every 20-30 minutes in the afternoon. It's a blue bus. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the food is superb. However, it's a shame that the hotel is only for two-ski boarding. Snowboarders should be aware of this when booking, as the hotel's ski slopes are exclusively for two-ski boarding, and the complimentary lift tickets cannot be used for snowboarding.

We went to Naspa new Otani hotel for purpose of skiing. I wanted a complete ski resort close to town. The rooms were big with a bath. The hotel also has a great onsen. We arranged our ski gear rental at the hotel ski shop and had a private ski lesson. The ski instructor Simon was great and effective at turning me from first time to confident beginner. The cost was reasonable and similar to other places give or take. We used the hotel courtesy bus daily which was convenient. The breakfast was great too. We had no issues at this hotel. Would like to stay longer next time.
