Hotel Indigo YORK by IHG

The hotel has a great location, not far from the city center and attractions. The front desk service was mediocre. We checked out early, but then received an email asking us to self-checkout, which was confusing. A small amount of our deposit was deducted, but we didn't receive any receipt explaining why. Perhaps the snacks on the table were chargeable, but there was no clear pricing displayed. Overall, the stay was average, and the service definitely wasn't worth nearly £200 a night.

The staff provided excellent service and the room was comfortable. However, the shower in the bathroom drained very slowly and would quickly overflow, with water spilling out into other areas. I had to quickly turn off the water and wait for it to drain before I could continue showering.

The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and even gave us some snacks. Breakfast had a great variety.

The room was clean and decorated with local characteristics, and the overall style of the hotel was very unique. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the location was super convenient, very close to the city center. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in York, it's such great value for money!

The room itself was great, and we even got complimentary drinks and snacks. However, the location is a bit out of the way, quite a distance from the train station and far from the shops in the city center.
