Miyako Hotel Yokkaichi

We came to this city for F1 and were very lucky to book a room on the day of check-in. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned but very clean. It's about a 35-minute drive from the F1 venue. The hotel also offers free parking, and there's an Aeon supermarket and coffee shops downstairs, which is extremely convenient.

We visited during Obon Festival, so hotels across Japan were pricier than usual. This hotel was perfectly situated close to Nagashima Spa Land, and getting there was easy with a direct bus from Kuwana. They offer complimentary coffee and snacks, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the entire place is spotlessly clean. A huge bonus, especially since we were traveling with two kids, was the availability of a triple room – something quite rare to find in Japan, especially during peak season.

The hotel boasts a prime city-center location. Right downstairs, you'll find a post office, Kintetsu station, a Don Quijote store, and a wide variety of Japanese restaurants, making everything incredibly convenient. While the room is a bit compact, it's spotlessly clean and very comfortable for a stay.

This is an older, well-established hotel that is impeccably maintained. It's just a few minutes' walk from the station. The rooms are quite spacious by Japanese standards, and the pricing is reasonable outside of peak season. The breakfast is decent, if not exceptional. I would recommend staying here.
