We booked the Melia Purosani directly through their website for a number of stays as it provided a good value price which included a 10-minute massage per room booking, a discount on food, and a room upgrade. On our first stay, we were upgraded to a ”Level” room on the sixth floor which came with Level Lounge privileges including afternoon tea. Having re-booked for three separate nights our expectations were that we would receive the same benefits. It seems our first stay involved a better-than-usual upgrade and we were very embarrassed to be turned away from the Level Lounge on our next stay - despite being in a Level Lounge room. Live and learn! The hotel is in good condition, the rooms are well-presented. Reception staff is courteous and helpful, and so too was the concierge at the Level Lounge who ”righted” the embarrassing situation we faced. The gardens and pool area are tropical, leafy, and well-maintained. Wi-Fi was adequate, but not super fast/ The property is within easy walking distance of Jalan Malioboro and other local attractions. I have rated the hotel's less-than-excellent restaurant El Patio separately. Truth be told, service and afternoon tea in the Level Lounge was superior to the restaurant.

We stayed on 14 - 16 february and booked our room with Agoda and the room was a good size, the hotel is beautiful and has all the amenities, so we applaud their environment. The front desk staff were very nice. Especially Heru, who arranged our trips and acted our tour driver . He took us trip to Borobudur , mount Merapi and Prambanan because on as we were not familiar with Yogyakarta. he also helped us to contact and book hotel at bromo , very patient and enthusiastic, emphasized all the details. It was a great pleasure to meet Heru.

Location of this hotel is strategic, walking distance to Malioboro Street, Tugu Train Station & Tugu Yogya Monument. Good option to explore Malioboro area ,to avoid traffic jam and spend more time if you want to go to Malioboro street. Room is huge (booking deluxe room) , clean , & room facilities also good.Food during breakfast delicious & have many option. Good service from this hotel crew (reception, waitress & technician) , they are very attentive. I have a problem with hot water, and they are following up immediately. Minor thing from my side : because Im smoker , they dont provide smoking room for deluxe room type.This hotel only provide smoking room for superior room type. Maybe in the future this hotel can provide smooking for all room type . Overall staying in this hotel is highly recommended. Thank You

Problem during the night, when we had a problem with our plane booking, we asked for help but we have a small problem because the night shift guy can't understand English. Very nice spacious room had for 2 nights in joyakarta. The hotel is located in a small side street but relatively easy to find. Running environment. A single disadvantage was that nobody spoke really good English at the bar. We could make them clear with Google Translate that water was running out of our airco, but this is apparently ‘normal' and they were kissing it right away before us.

Shortly after arriving I realised my suitcase was damaged during transportation, I spoke with reception to see if a maintenance person could assist me with its repair, Daris then arrived and took the suitcase and he advised he could see what he could do. Shortly after her arrived with a replacement case and said this maybe safer than a repair. He went above and beyond my expectations for such a situation. He was very kind and helpful.
