SSAW Boutique Hotel Yangzhou

At this price point, it's considered a bit on the expensive side for Yangzhou. It's just an average, run-of-the-mill hotel. Service: The security guard at the entrance was incredibly friendly and helped with our luggage. The front desk staff who checked us in were just okay; they followed the standard procedure but didn't proactively offer any information. The cleaning staff were friendly and greeted us warmly. Environment: The lobby isn't very large but has some seating. There are a few terraces on the rooftop that might be interesting to see, but there's no seating except for the breakfast area. Location: It's a bit awkward. It's at least a 15-minute walk back from Geyuan Garden. Taking a taxi, including waiting time, is about 10 minutes. It's right at a road intersection, but it's not noisy. However, some rooms are clearly visible from the outside.

I booked my room in advance this time, and the lady at the front desk still upgraded me to a suite. The service was excellent as always, and the breakfast was very plentiful. It's been a while since I've been here, and the restaurant layout has been rearranged.

The location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to several major attractions like Slender West Lake, Ge Garden, and the Former Residence of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou. The service was great, especially the parking attendants who were very dedicated.

The lobby manager was very attentive and able to answer questions immediately. Even with a large crowd during check-in, they managed to arrange everything efficiently – a real thumbs up! I've never seen a hotel lobby with so many complimentary drinks before – cold lemonade, hot hibiscus tea, and unlimited freshly ground coffee. The hotel's location is excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk to Dongguan Street and the South Gate of Slender West Lake. There are also many popular eateries nearby. Plus, it's rare to find a hotel with its own indoor parking. The family room was a bit small, but the bathroom was very spacious and even had a bathtub and a Dyson hairdryer. There was a cute little tent and a rocking horse, and the snacks and drinks in the mini-fridge were replenished daily, with unlimited bottled water. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh ingredients. Even though it was busy during the summer holidays, everything was restocked promptly. I especially loved their baozi (steamed buns) – the tofu skin buns, vegetable buns, and meat buns all tasted freshly made. The noodle chef was incredibly patient, remembering everyone's special requests and working quickly. The self-service laundry gets busy, so you might have to wait for a spot. Overall, it's a hotel with excellent value for money.

Located in the city center right by the road, the rooms are a bit dated. Parking requires a short walk. Service was decent, and the complimentary drinks were a nice touch. The outdoor view is just so-so, with no central green space. However, the public dining area has a tiered balcony with a good view.

The lobby feels like a 4-star, but the elevators are more like a 3-star, and the room is quite small. It's not ideal that staff and guests have to share just two elevators. Honestly, I'm not sure how they can claim to be a 5-star hotel. The room is tiny, and there isn't even a desk lamp. The soundproofing is also poor. Even calling it a 4-star might be a stretch. Besides its proximity to Yechun (a restaurant), I can't think of any other positives.

The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, and the breakfast spread is fantastic with plenty of variety. It's really easy to go anywhere from here. Plus, the price is very reasonable, making it a great choice for family trips. The staff are also very attentive and professional.

The ladies at the front desk were incredibly nice and enthusiastic, giving us great recommendations for places to see in Yangzhou. Definitely worth recommending!

The lobby of the Yangzhou Slender West Lake Junting Hotel has an antique charm that perfectly matches the ancient city's style. The location is superb; the moat is right across the street, and Ge Garden is only about 1 kilometer away. Slender West Lake is less than 1 kilometer, making it incredibly convenient. Breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes with local specialties. For our family room, there were two large beds. Room facilities and view are excellent, with a nice view outside the window. The smart toilet even comes with a remote control. Parking is available in a dedicated parking lot. Service: The booking included breakfast for four people, but only three of us arrived. They actually refunded the cost of one breakfast, which was a very pleasant surprise – highly recommend! A big thank you to 'September Orange' at the front desk for their warm and thoughtful service.
