Yangzhou Seclusive Life Hot Spring Resort

Stayed during the off-season in a room with a private hot spring. The room was very clean, and the hotel facilities were complete, even offering a complimentary photography service with outfits. The hot spring water was incredibly soothing! The hotel's scenery is picturesque, with beautiful gardens, and you can even see the Bonsai Garden of Slender West Lake! Late check-out is available until 2:00 PM, which made for a very comfortable and pleasant stay! A big thanks to the photographer and staff!

The room was excellent, and the private hot spring felt wonderfully smooth! A really great experience overall. The only downside was the travel photography service. They were constantly pushing sales and wouldn't let you think independently when choosing photos. Eventually, they resorted to high-pressure tactics because other guests were waiting. Thankfully, the travel photography customer service was good and handled the after-sales issues later. Many hotels offer travel photography, but they don't usually push sales so aggressively. The hotel's scenery is fantastic, with half of it overlooking Slender West Lake. I'll definitely come back!

1. The hotel environment is absolutely stunning, with a Chinese garden style, right next to Slender West Lake. 2. The hotel service was delightful; they upgraded our room, escorted us there, and explained the facilities. 3. Although the hotel is six years old, it's exceptionally well-maintained, showing the management's dedication. 4. The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious; as a seasoned foodie, I even had two bowls of plain noodles! The buns, however, could use some improvement. 5. All rooms have private hot spring baths, and there are two buildings: the main building and the annex.

The hotel is incredibly close to Slender West Lake, offering direct views of the lake from the Teahouse building. It's about a 500-meter walk from the hotel entrance to the East Gate of Slender West Lake. The hotel staff are also very warm and accommodating, always ready to help. They even provided complimentary afternoon tea vouchers. The Gu Shi Photography Studio on the hotel's M floor is also fantastic. They have a wide variety of Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) available in different seasons and styles. After changing into your chosen outfit, the photographer takes you to beautiful spots around the hotel with props for a photoshoot. The photographer was very patient and friendly, providing various ancient-style props and guiding me to take beautiful pictures. Afterward, you can select your favorite photos one by one, and the photographer will retouch them according to your ideas. My first experience with a Hanfu travel photoshoot was truly wonderful! The Si Qing Tang Living Room, also on the M floor, offers free calligraphy sessions, both with hard or soft brushes. The service there is also very friendly.

I booked this hotel during the Double Eleven sale and took advantage of a two-day leave around New Year's Day for an off-peak trip. The hotel is conveniently located right by Slender West Lake Scenic Area, within walking distance. The hotel's own environment is also lovely, separated from Slender West Lake by just a river. It was a bit chilly in winter, but I imagine it's bustling during the 'Smoky March' season (spring). They upgraded our room, which was great as it had its own in-room hot spring. Breakfast offered a limited selection and was just average.

The soundproofing is terrible. I was woken up repeatedly throughout the night. Do the people next door ever sleep? I endured it until past 6 AM, and finally, having had enough, I called the front desk, but it didn't do any good.
