We would like to say a big thanks to all of the staff at the Tong Resort for our short but memorable stay. From a warm welcome to a fond farewell, Tong Resort gives everything you’d hope for. The hardware was all in good working order, the level of cleanliness was excellent and the service is on par or even better than international-level 5-star hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton. Quite outstanding! The hotel reached out to me prior to arrival day for check-in and special occasion arrangements. The hotel has a WeChat private service group where all of your requests can be disseminated at ease; with the nature of our trip being a birthday surprise celebration it was rather effective! The hotel offers private car pick-up service from Yangshuo Railway Station or you may also choose Didi. Upon arrival at Tong Resort, we were presented with welcome drinks, invited to be seated and were promptly escorted to our room. You can tell they have placed a lot of thought into the room features and design; they even embroidered the hotel logo into their bed linen. The hotel offers shuttle car services to and from West Street, this is one of the most famous global streets in China which is a must visit for all Yangshuo travelers. When we arrived back at the hotel, we were spoilt with free late night snacks sent to our room and most importantly the hotel did not forget about the birthday cake which was timely delivered at 00:00. The breakfast by the swimming pool was scrumptious. There is a choice between Asian and Western and you can select as many items as you wish from the menu which in turn gets freshly prepared for you. The team is doing such a good job; although the hotel has only been opened for 2 years, it seems as though the staff as been trained for over 10 years! What’s more, after check out whilst we were waiting at the lobby for Didi, a staff member had the attentiveness to place down glasses of water which she had no obligation for doing. What a nice gesture! At the end, essentially it’s these finer touches that sets a hotel from its counterparts.

The service was very attentive. The housekeeper would contact us in advance after booking. When we arrived at the hotel, the parking lot at the entrance was full. It has an elevator, central air conditioning, electric curtains, and a large bathtub. The details are very well controlled. There is an electric car at the door that you can scan the code. The fee is reasonable. Travel is also very convenient. It is very close to the pier and can be walked. You can take the Yulong River bamboo raft in a few minutes. Breakfast is included in the room. It is nutritious and includes whole grains. Guilin rice noodles can be ordered and cooked freshly. The soup noodles are delicious. In short, everything is very good. I will choose Hua next time. In a dream.

The only flaw, which is also a common problem in 5-star hotels in many first-tier cities in China, is that water easily overflows from the shower room. Fortunately, the floor in his house is very good, non-slip and dries quickly, so just mopping the floor is enough. Free minibar, 4 bottles of drinking water and 3 bottles of drinks will be replenished the next day. Free fruit plate, including bananas, oranges and ginseng fruits, you can ask for more at any time. There is also a famous scenic spot near the hotel called Xianggong Mountain. It is highly recommended. The scenery on the top of the mountain is very beautiful. Even my dog ​​likes Xianggong Mountain😅. The hotel provides round-trip transfers, round-trip ferry tickets and tickets packages, which is very convenient. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good. The braised chicken and stir-fried beef with earth/green pepper are highly recommended, very delicious. There is also a restaurant they cooperate with next to the hotel, with many local specialties worth trying. It is highly recommended for those who drive themselves to stay here. It is far away from the noisy Yangshuo and West Street, but it is only a 45-minute drive from Yangshuo's main attractions, such as Yulong River and Shili Gallery. Although there is still a gap between the overall hotel and the established five-star hotels, the efforts of all the staff in this hotel can be seen. Under the current environment, and given that the location is relatively remote, I sincerely recommend this hotel.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in in Yangshuo! My third time coming but first time at this hotel. They accept foreigners. Their service is wonderful, really catering to your every need, constantly providing you with free food and drinks, and the rooftop pool is really spectacular. The room with the pool on the roof is the cheapest room. Can’t wait to come back!

Exceptional hotel with breathtaking views. We had the deluxe room with a small terrace which was amazing. The hotel staff is very friendly and offers support for any personal requests. The food in the restaurant was very delicious as well as the complementary afternoon tea. At this hotel you can totally relax and enjoy the silence. Highly recommendable and we are already looking forward to come back in the future.

The hotel is situated about 200 metres behind the Yulong river and nested in a quiet village, tucked not too far away from the tourist attractions of the Shili Hualang 十里画廊. The scenery is great and generally very, very calm. The management team is extremely helpful and friendly, even when we left a few items bought from them, we got a full refund quickly as it was the most convenient for us. Great for vegetarian - the hotel runs a good vegetarian (Chinese) options. Their western options are really limited to toast and butter served with coffee. Great if you are ok with a Chinese menu. We loved their cat, 包子 the most. The cute and chubby Garfield cat enjoys Yangshuo more than anyone there. Unfortunately their pool was under renovation during the hot weather season while we were there. Otherwise it could've been even better. Generally clean rooms. Great for couples, retirees and young families.
