Hilton Yancheng

The hotel room was quite spacious and well-equipped with all facilities. However, upon check-in, I specifically requested a quiet room, and I had also noted 'quiet and non-smoking' in my booking. After careful selection, the front desk assigned me a connecting room. After settling in, I wanted to change rooms, but the floor attendant assured me it wouldn't be noisy as there were doors on both sides, so I didn't switch. Later that evening, I could clearly hear phone conversations from the connecting room – it was extremely loud. Coincidentally, my room door also developed a minor fault. When the attendant came to fix it, I mentioned the noise issue. They immediately reported it, and the hotel responded very quickly, helping me change rooms. This swift action was highly commendable. Separately, a very important point to note is that there's a ditch behind every parking space. I didn't notice it the first time I parked and nearly took a huge tumble while retrieving my luggage. Thankfully, I reacted quickly and only scraped my hand. It's quite an odd design.

The hotel is great, very close to the high-speed train station. The service is excellent; as soon as you get out of the car, staff help you with your luggage, so you don't have to carry it yourself. Everyone is polite and attentive when you enter and leave, which perfectly matches the standard of a five-star hotel. The indoor facilities are also fine, the floor-to-ceiling windows are fantastic, and the room temperature is just right.

The room's hardware and software were both good. However, I found a hair on the bed after entering the room. I contacted the front desk, and they immediately sent a housekeeper to change the sheets. Although they offered complimentary breakfast in the end, I still felt a bit uncomfortable. I chose this hotel because it's a Hilton, but finding such an issue was a bit disappointing.

Traveling by car, getting here and parking were both very convenient. The underground parking garage has direct elevator access to the guest room floors. The room was wonderfully sunny, bright, and warm. The service was enthusiastic and attentive. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including local specialties. Overall, everything was quite good.
