Minshuku Miyama

This is a true guesthouse; the bathrooms are shared, and no meals are provided. While there's a bus stop nearby, it's not as convenient as some hotels offer shuttle services. Most importantly, they don't have keys to the nine onsen (hot springs) in Shibu Onsen town, so you can't experience them. It's about a 15-minute walk into town, which isn't very convenient. A few advantages are that the couple who run the guesthouse are quite lovely, their private onsen is very comfortable (outdoor), and the shower facilities before entering are excellent. They're also relatively close to Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park, but there are buses available, so it's not a huge advantage. If you want a complete Shibu Onsen experience, I wouldn't recommend this guesthouse. However, if you don't mind not being able to use the nine onsen and want a simpler stay, this is a good option. The cleanliness is good, the beds are comfortable, and the onsen is great; you can practically have it all to yourself if you're not with a group.

Everything went great) dinner and breakfast were delicious and filling. Extra charge for dinner is 2200 per person. Tatami are comfortable and soft blankets are warm. Breakfast was included in the price. It's a 20-30 minute walk to the snow monkey park.

I really liked this hotel, the hosts are hospitable. The hotel has an onsen. We took it with dinner and breakfast, everything was very tasty. There is a bus stop near the hotel.

Very cozy accommodation. A little further away from the shibu onsen and does not provide keys to all the bathhouses. But closer to snow monkey park and has a super cozy onsen in the accommodation. Very nice couple who take care of everything and good Japanese breakfast.
