Shibuonsen Taiyokan Yamatoya

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were consistently polite, attentive, and genuinely warm, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The property has a charming traditional ryokan feel, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the complimentary yukata and wooden clogs. A special mention to the bird—it added such a unique and delightful touch to the atmosphere! The selection of food and drinks was excellent, and we were especially grateful that the team carefully adhered to our dietary requests (no beef and no raw food), which gave us great peace of mind. Overall, a memorable and comfortable stay—we would happily return. このホテルでとても素晴らしい滞在を過ごしました。スタッフの皆さんは終始丁寧で気配りが行き届いており、温かみのある対応がとても印象的でした。館内は伝統的な旅館の雰囲気があり、浴衣や下駄の無料貸し出しといった心遣いも嬉しかったです。 また、鳥がいて、とてもユニークで癒される存在でした。 食事や飲み物の種類も豊富で大変満足しました。さらに、牛肉なし・生ものなしという私たちのリクエストにもきちんと対応していただき、安心して食事を楽しむことができました。 全体として、とても思い出に残る快適な滞在でした。またぜひ利用したいと思います。

Fantastic Ryoken hotel that far exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by a warm and friendly welcome and given a tour of the hotel. The room was enormous with a lovely view of the river and the Shibu onsen Main Street, all very clean and tidy. This hotel provides the key to the 9 onsen bath houses around town (one of the main draws for this lovely area). The range of slippers for different situations can be a little daunting but we were guided through every step. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely incredible, so many delightful dishes beautifully presented and definitely  a highlight of our stay.  I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough, the attention to detail, care and memories will stay with me forever.

Everything was fantastic

Delicious food, a relaxing onsen and nice big rooms with traditional tatami mats. Everything was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
