Muyunchunshu Mountain Healing Retreat Homestay (Bifengxia, Ya'an)

I can't imagine how happy I'd be to live here for an extended period. This was the last stop on our Western Sichuan trip. We'd already seen so many breathtaking sights along the way, but this place still managed to impress. The winding mountain road led us up to the guesthouse, and arriving felt like discovering a hidden gem – a sudden expanse after a winding path. The thoughtful service from the housekeeper began even before check-in. Whether it was transportation, dining, or the check-in process itself, everything was perfectly taken care of. The room wasn't overly decorated; it was spacious and bright. The combination of natural wood tones and micro-cement, along with the linen-textured sofa bed, felt both rustic and upscale. The meals were home-style cooking, deliciously comforting and full of warmth. Waking up the next morning, I was still pleasantly surprised by the vast expanse of wild forest visible from the floor-to-ceiling windows. There are many more thoughtful little details that you can only truly experience once you stay here. I won't go on about how much this guesthouse touched me; let's just say, see you next time!

Muyun Chunshu has an elegant and quiet environment with an abundance of greenery! The guesthouse is well-equipped, with a cozy tea area in the courtyard. The rooms feature separate wet and dry bathrooms, air conditioning, a hairdryer, and all necessary toiletries. The furniture is new and spotless. The rooms are spacious and tidy, and the bedding is soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff provides excellent service, and check-in is convenient. Staying here for a vacation is incredibly hassle-free!

We brought our kids to Bifeng Gorge to see the pandas, and our stay at this guesthouse was absolutely wonderful. The environment is quiet and safe, with a large courtyard where the children could play freely. The room was clean and spacious, with excellent facilities, including a dedicated kids' play area. The owner and staff were all very friendly, providing thoughtful and attentive service. They even offered free shuttle service to and from the scenic area, which was incredibly convenient. The farm-style dishes were made with fresh ingredients, and the food suited the children's tastes, so we felt completely at ease. We even got to see fireflies at night, which the kids absolutely loved! It was a fantastic stay!

The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The view from the room was absolutely stunning, filled with lush greenery. It's perfect for a family trip; my 1 year and 10-month-old had a blast, spending a lot of time just playing in the room. The lobby on the first floor also has a bubble ball play area for kids. My little one was delighted and very cozy watching the wood-burning fireplace for the first time. It was a very satisfying stay. The details were great too, even the hot tub had disposable liners. I have to highlight the breakfast and dinner – both were delicious and offered a wide variety of choices.

Excellent family trip! The B&B is on a mountaintop, very quiet, and the service was great. They even upgraded our room for free. We ordered a roasted rabbit in the evening, cooked purely over charcoal, and it was delicious. Highly recommend it to everyone!

The Bianzhulan room type exceeded my expectations! It's right next to the Bifengxia Scenic Area, very close to the Panda Base, making it convenient for getting around while also offering shuttle services to the park. The room is nestled among greenery, offering excellent privacy. The private hot spring, hidden along a winding path, creates a wonderful ambiance, complemented by a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating, making our stay in the mountains warm and comfortable, not damp at all. The facilities are complete and the attention to detail is impressive; even the small items show how much thought was put in. Overall, it's clean and cozy. The service is thoughtful and attentive, and there's a wide selection of meals. It's truly perfect for a relaxing getaway.

This place exceeded my expectations, it's truly remarkable! When I booked, I just picked it because it was the only decent-looking hotel near the Panda Base. But once I actually stayed, I realized the guesthouse owner put so much thought into everything. The common areas, the rooms, and the service were all excellent. Especially the incredible private hot springs... they were the most unique I've ever experienced, truly a hidden gem. And the wood-fired heating really blew me away! 😂 The room facilities are great, with excellent attention to detail – even the small amenities provided show how much care went into it. The rooms have floor heating, so it's not cold or damp even in the mountains of Ya'an. Breakfast is simple but fine, and there are plenty of options for dinner if you order à la carte. They also offer shuttle service to Bifengxia Scenic Area. It's definitely a great choice if you're coming to visit this area.

I highly recommend the Lighthouse Treehouse room! My stay exceeded expectations; it was just as cozy and clean as the pictures showed. The whole house has underfloor heating, XiaoDu smart home control, and even mountain spring water piped in. The facilities are comprehensive and thoughtful. The butler planned our self-driving route in advance, which was incredibly helpful. When we arrived late at night, the chef and butler still had warm roasted rabbit, freshly stir-fried lettuce, and rice soup waiting for us, instantly melting away our fatigue. The nine-compartment breakfast was rich and nutritious, with stunning mountain views and fresh air outside the window. It was a comfortable and heartwarming stay. I'll definitely be back next time and will enthusiastically recommend it to friends and family!

Apologies, I promised the owner I'd leave a review sooner, but I completely forgot once I returned to Chengdu. The hotel is nestled deep within the Bifengxia scenic area, a high-end guesthouse that beautifully blends old structures with newly built sections. We stayed in the 'Fuyao Zhi' room (pictured in the second image), which I believe is part of the newer section and incredibly stylish. The large windows offer stunning views of distant mountains and another traditional residence. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including various indoor activities (like calligraphy copying and tea ceremonies) and an outdoor forest activity space surrounded by tea gardens (featuring treehouses, trampolines, etc.). The front area also offers outdoor activities such as bonfires, barbecues, and karaoke. All the staff, especially the guy at the front desk in the burgundy sweater, were incredibly enthusiastic. The housekeeping was also meticulously done. The young man with glasses who handled our transfers to and from the Bifengxia scenic area was incredibly punctual. It's clear that both the staff and the owner put a tremendous amount of effort and passion into their guests and the guesthouse, which was the most impressive aspect for me. While the overall price point is on the higher side for Bifengxia, the experience was absolutely outstanding. I can honestly say that this stay elevated the joy and comfort of our entire Bifengxia trip.
