Yehou Qi Homestay (Yaan Mengding Mountain Town Branch)

The staff at the homestay were warm and generous, always going out of the way to help us. The food was good and the setting was tranquil.

We had a wonderful stay here, it was a real highlight of our trip. It's in a gorgeous location, with lovely rooms and gardens. The owners & staff were really welcoming and generous, taking us on walks, introducing us to their neighbours, and teaching us all about tea. They also cooked great food, and were able to cater the vegetarians in our group as well. I'd really recommend a visit, particularly for international tourists like us - it was such a nice change from the hot and crowded cities. You might not see loads online in English about things to do in Ya'an, but there was plenty to see in the surrounding area - we particularly enjoyed the hiking in Mengdingshan and Bifengxia.

It was a very cozy and peacuful stay, with beautiful garden, great views. Ms. Zheng is a super host, she showed us how tea is made, took us to her tea plantation, she is a woman with merits, practicing flute, caligraphy, poetry. We had realy nice time together. You can also have tasty dinners prepared at home. Evetything was just great.

We were traveling on owr honeymoon and the owners were do nice and welcoming! The place is really special, we would stay longer if we would have more time.

We had the most wonderful time at Yehouxi Homestay! The location is beautiful and the rooms and clean and comfortable. Even though we did not speak Mandarin our hosts made us feel welcome and to teach us about local tea and the local environment. She took us on a walk around the area and helped us to collect leaves and flowers which we then used for a leaf pressing activity. Our host even picked us up from the station and dropped us back which made the stay very easy with our limited language skills. We highly recommend this homestay! The food from the restaurant was warm, tasty and nourishing.

Excellent for solo travelers , so helpful with all activities , the owner is super friendly , artistic and makes delicious teas , at night they invites me to family dinners . Even though I didn’t pick enough tea leaves she worked with me for few hours to make green tea. Their black tea is very aromatic and has a good character for multiple infusion . I love the decoration all other at every room and corners . Great retreat for tea lovers !

It's a great homestay style hotel, very clean, quiet and cozy. The area of the hotel is very well maintained and comfortable. The owners are really hospitable and took good care of us. They drank tea with us, cooked great food and let us pick tea for ourselves. Very recommended!
