Xinyuan Days by Wyndham Hotel

The high-floor rooms offer great views. You can see the morning mist from the rooftop restaurant. The elevator feels a bit old and makes a rather loud grinding noise.

This is a warning post. It took an hour of hassle just to check in properly. First, I was in room 1612, and there was this continuous booming noise. I requested a room change, which took half an hour to sort out. When I moved to 1605, the booming noise was still there. I realized it was the exhaust fan, but I couldn't turn it off. I had to move to the 15th floor to finally get a room where I could turn off the exhaust fan and escape the noise. However, the facilities are terrible. It feels like they just slapped a Wyndham sign on what's essentially a guesthouse. For a hotel that opened in 2025, the facilities are shockingly poor. There's no master control for the room, no vanity mirror or full-length mirror. The facilities are exactly as pictured. I paid nearly 700 for what felt like a stay in a guesthouse.

Facilities: It's clearly an old hotel that's been renovated. The elevator is old and creaky, and one of them is used as a service lift, with a board laid over the floor, making the cabin floor higher than the landing, so it's easy to trip when entering. Also, the formaldehyde smell near the bed was very strong; it was quite pungent as soon as I lay down. The shower head sprayed water in all directions, getting my hair wet even though I wasn't washing it. The chair broke, and thankfully, I was fine after falling. Service: After checking in, I went downstairs to ask the front desk for the complimentary welcome fruit and the 'Slow Time Enjoyment Package.' The front desk said the welcome fruit had to be delivered to the room, and the 'Slow Time Enjoyment Package' couldn't be arranged by that staff member because it wasn't their shift, and I had to call to book it myself between 12-5 PM the next day. Seriously, we're here on vacation; we're out sightseeing at that time, who has time to make a booking? Breakfast is from 8-10 AM. Given the two or three-hour time difference between Xinjiang and inland China, is this breakfast time reasonable? Moreover, by 9 AM, there were hardly any utensils left, and the food replenishment was slow. Welcome Fruit: The quality of the fruit was decent. Slow Time Enjoyment Package: Didn't get to try it.

The hotel is an old renovation, and the facilities are outdated. Breakfast was a complete mess; the dishes weren't fresh, just like a standard budget hotel like Jinjiang Inn or Home Inn. Rotten ingredients were still being served to guests. The front desk service attitude was pretty good though.

Rating: 5 stars Overall, I'm very satisfied with the Days Inn by Wyndham Xinyuan. It's a new international chain that opened in 2025, so the facilities are new, clean, and spacious. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, the bedding is comfortable, and the smart toilet combined with the wet/dry separation is very practical. The front desk staff are enthusiastic and check-in is quick. They offer free parking, a laundry room, and a gym. The hotel is located on the main road of the county, close to Chengnan Park and People's Square, making it convenient for getting around. Breakfast was better than expected, with a good variety and delicious taste. The only minor drawback is that a few rooms occasionally have a drain smell. It's perfectly suited for those driving to Nalati, and offers great value for money.

It's been a long time since I stayed in a hotel in Xinyuan. This time, I went back for Chinese New Year, had a few drinks and couldn't drive, so I booked a hotel. I didn't expect this one to be so good; the accommodation environment exceeded my expectations.

The actual hotel looks nothing like the photos. The lobby is run-down, and the front desk staff weren't even in uniform when I checked in. Broken public facilities are left unfixed, and the room itself wasn't clean. I discovered the electric curtains were broken at night, and despite calling twice, no one came to fix them. I couldn't even turn on the lights in the evening. The bathroom was tiny, making it difficult to bathe my child. Breakfast was also very disappointing, like a chaotic market.

It was excellent, very clean, and the breakfast they gave me was delicious. My baby was very happy. It's also smart, and the receptionists were all very nice. They even gave me a toothbrush for my baby's shoes!
