Fenglin Yueshan Hotel (Xingyi Wanfenglin International Convention Center Observation Deck)

1) The hotel boasts an excellent location with direct views of the Wanfeng Scenic Area. The observation deck on the mountain top is particularly appealing, drawing both guests and locals for morning and evening views. 2) The hotel is conveniently close to the scenic area, just 2.4 kilometers away. 3) The hotel staff provide great service, attending to every request, and even offer a complimentary breakfast. 4) This time, I booked a suite on the 5th floor, and the high-level view was exceptional. I could see the Wanfenglin Scenic Area right from my room. Thumbs up! 👍

I checked in at 3:30 PM, and was told there'd be a 20-minute wait as the room wasn't ready. It's already odd that check-in is so late at 3 PM, but then having to wait on top of that was the first issue. The front desk staff saw we had large luggage and said another staff member would help us carry it. A male staff member came, led us the whole way, and just watched me as I struggled down three flights of stairs with no elevator. I was speechless. I ended up carrying it myself. If they couldn't coordinate it properly, why tell guests someone would help with luggage? Later, I checked my Ctrip order, and it indeed showed luggage service. This is a big problem, and that's the second issue. Third, there's no elevator to the hotel rooms. Our car had to park in Parking Lot 2 because, even though Parking Lot 1 had three empty spots, they were all parked haphazardly, making them unusable. Parking Lot 2 is 300 meters from the lobby. That day, Xingyi had heavy rain. Parking Lot 2 has a shuttle, so I asked the front desk if there was a shuttle to take guests there. The staff said no. So, we ended up carrying a lot of luggage, walking with umbrellas to Parking Lot 2, and our pants got completely soaked. That's the third issue. I arrived angry and left just as angry. Seriously, this was something else.

Overall, I'd rate the experience around 3.5-3.8 out of 5. The hotel is located a bit up the mountain, somewhat far from the Wanfenglin Scenic Area. The hardware is a major drawback; the room facilities are quite old, and the environment is just average. The construction quality of the building and the feel of the parking lot are not ideal. It's not just this hotel, but the overall construction materials used by developers in this area are rather common, and the building quality isn't generally high. The upside is that the staff are very enthusiastic. Breakfast is just average, and considering the large number of guests, the price isn't particularly good value. If you're looking for distant views of the peak forest, the location is good, but don't have high expectations for the hardware. It's better suited for travelers who prioritize the view and aren't too particular about accommodation details.

The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The environment is absolutely superb, with a viewing platform that offers panoramic views of the Ten Thousand Peaks. The hotel itself feels like it's nestled within a botanical garden. The service attitude was excellent, and the breakfast was plentiful – we even got to enjoy it on the viewing platform, which was such a treat! They also included lunch or dinner, and the stir-fried dishes were perfect for us since we were out exploring all day and hadn't eaten. A special thanks to the hotel for picking us up from the scenic area when it rained, and the airport transfer was in a luxurious large car. This trip was truly great value for money! 👍

The location is decent; it's not far from Wanfenglin, but quite a distance from the city center, so it's best for those with a car. You'll need a taxi to get anywhere. The hotel seems to be mostly booked by tour groups, and the front desk openly admitted that booking through Ctrip is more expensive than their group rates. The way they looked at me, it felt like it was significantly more, though I didn't ask. The hotel itself is quite large and winding. Even though I booked a room on the sixth floor, I still had to climb stairs, but thankfully, staff helped with the luggage. The hotel facilities are very old and poorly maintained, completely different from the pictures. Paying over 1000 during peak season was a huge regret; I wish I had paid a bit more to stay within Wanfenglin. There's only one self-service laundry room, which was quite far from my room. It felt like I had to cross the entire hotel just to do laundry. Plus, there were many people and few machines, so even after making the trek, it was often impossible to get a machine, and waiting could take several hours, which was incredibly frustrating. I went to breakfast late, and they started clearing up at 10 AM. A server came over and asked, 'Are you finished?', and started taking plates away without waiting for an answer. You can climb the hill behind the hotel and take some photos.

Even though it's an older hotel, it's very clean and well-maintained. The surroundings are incredibly beautiful. The breakfast was a definite highlight; I stayed for three days and had a bowl of noodles every morning – they were so delicious! Xingyi is stunning, and I'll definitely visit again if I get the chance.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to visit both Wanfenglin and Maling River Canyon. The service is professional and friendly, and the check-in experience was great. The room view is also fantastic. Highly recommended!

The hotel boasts an absolutely stunning view. Our room even had a small private patio right outside the door, perfect for drying clothes. Eating breakfast while gazing at the Wanfenglin mountains was truly beautiful. The only downsides were the rather cramped underground parking, with a shared entrance and exit, and the fact that they charge for children's breakfast, which isn't very friendly.

The hotel room was very spacious, and the balcony offered beautiful, healing views. Breakfast was delicious, and after a day of sightseeing, the hotel even provided complimentary afternoon tea. There's a 2km boardwalk leading from the hotel to the scenic area, but the hotel is actually already within the scenic area, so you can walk or take a taxi.
