Kempinski Hotel Xiamen

The bed in this hotel is absolutely unbearable, it felt like a thin mattress on a hard wooden board. When I asked the staff, they said all the beds were like this. I really hope Trip.com would properly evaluate hotels before assigning star ratings, as I've never slept on such a terrible bed. It's completely inconsistent with what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. I've stayed in many hotels, and none had a bed like this. On top of that, the hotel facilities are old. There was a constant rumbling sound, like a subway passing by, which I suspect was the air conditioning unit's outdoor compressor vibrating. It wasn't extremely loud, but it felt like it was right next to my ear, and it persisted even after turning off the AC. I barely slept all night. If you have trouble sleeping, do not stay here. This bed is the kind that won't let anyone sleep in; my child woke up before 5 AM! This was the worst experience ever! The rating for this place is definitely too high!

The hotel has a nice lake view. Although it's an older hotel, the facilities are well-maintained, and the surrounding transportation is convenient.

I won't go into details. The staff actually work very hard, and I don't want my complaints to get them docked pay, which would go against my original intention. However, the staff's overall demeanor and morale reflect issues with the hotel's management. As for attitude and cleanliness, I won't be too demanding. In a nutshell, tourists, avoid this place!

It was alright, pretty good. The lady at the front desk with glasses was very patient and even gave us a souvenir at the end.

Even if a bit older, the Ferrari is still a Ferrari! This hotel absolutely lives up to a five-star standard, with the only minor drawback being a slightly small TV. The lobby features real flowers that are incredibly vibrant and beautiful, giving off a feeling of prosperity and elegance. This time, I booked a room with a view, and the lake view was breathtaking and truly refreshing. The bathroom facilities are outstanding – even with both the bathtub and shower running simultaneously, the water pressure was excellent and very comfortable. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive, but not overly so, making me feel right at home.

Had a fantastic experience! The front desk service was excellent, and the environment and facilities were great too. If any friends are going to Xiamen and need a recommendation, I'll definitely suggest this hotel.
