We couldn’t check in, they where not able to scan our passports. We stayed 1 hour in hot lobby and finally found new hotel
It disturbed our holiday, they could have told me 2 weeks ago foreigners not welcome. It could have saved a lot of trouble

This was the last hotel on our backpack tour. We tried to book better hotels near the beach at first, but new corona rules have made it difficult to find hotels on Xiamen that accept foreigners. Fortunately, with the help of trip.com support (thanks for that) we were able to book this hotel, but it is not really recommendable. The only positive thing is the location. There are many small shops and restaurants nearby with an international touch (like the Green Table).
