The Novotel was a bit disappointing. It was one of the more expensive hotels in the inner city so we thought it would be good. The staff were really friendly and forthcoming. The room was a bit average, the Bell tower hotel is far cheaper a bit older but has much bigger rooms. The gym has two running machines and some free weights? Got a better gym in average units in Australia. The laundry facilities are handy and a bonus. Cant say a sink in the main room is a bonus. I can not recommend the breakfast, very low quality fruit and bread I guess its ok if you are into Chinese breakfast and eat meat. The coffee is gross even Macas has better coffee. I would not consider staying here again. To expensive for what you get compared to the other hotels and accommodation available. The location is convenient to the metro, bell&drum tower, mosque, markets and south gate etc

The hotel is very close to the subway exit A. The decoration is very new and unique. The bathrooms are all Kohler (I forgot to take a photo, I must remember correctly). The room facilities and supplies are very good. The lighting on the first floor and the public area is very dark and shaky. Remember to ask for it when you check in. Don’t rely on the road. Ctrip booking is trustworthy and any problems can be solved quickly.

The best things about this hotel were: free laundry and great service. We traveled a lot and this was the only hotel we can wash our clothes and got fresh ones. In fact the staff 严巧玪 and 谢蓉蓉were so helpful that they collected and laundry and folded them and delivered to my hotel room. The shower water was great also. The room was very cleaned and always in order after we return. We loved the breakfast and tea time in the afternoon. The location is awesome very convenient. We highly recommend this one.

I stayed here for one night while traveling in Xi'an. Someone recommended it before and said that this hotel has a good environment. After arriving, I found that the environment is not bad. The advantage is that it is relatively close to the city center. But to be honest, I don’t recommend it for traveling, because this hotel is not close to any subway station. The nearest two subway stations take about 20 minutes to walk. It is not feasible to take a taxi, because there is a road nearby that is jammed all year round. If you take a taxi, Just wait for ten minutes over there. The environment in the room is okay, and the size is okay, but it is very hot. It is so hot that I need to open the windows at night, but after opening the windows at night, it is extremely noisy outside. There is a restaurant or something next to it, and it is being tidied up all the way. Glass bottle? I kept hearing their clattering sounds all night long. Perfectly located next to the west gate of the city wall. The staff are all in traditional dress and we were put in a lovely room of a very big size I think we were upgraded which was so nice, breakfast was Chinese style and very nice. Only issue was the hot water wasn’t heating up very well so couldn’t have a bath. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel definitely has a 1950s luxury vibe, it's a part of a large Renmin Square hotel complex that share some facilities (notably a great swimming pool in the next building). The location is great, walking distance to the city centre and like 7 min from metro. The hotel made a mistake in my booking and upgraded me to a suite as a result (which was nice but that room was not ready so I had to wait). The suite was nice, with a comfortable bed and pretty much twice everything I needed. Also two wifis - only the Renmin one worked, the hotel one recommended by reception did not work at all. The room had like 20 switches next to the bed, I picked the 'Night' one - bad surprise, it also switches off the bedside socket so I woke up to a discharged phone.

Really a great hotel, the location is very good, very close to the subway station, or a transfer station, behind the door is the Dalianhuachi Street, the food inside is really rich. Finally, the hotel's facilities are very good, although the room is very clean, the bed is very large and very comfortable. This is an overall excellent hotel with a very comfy new room, free soft drinks, Nespresso type machine and pods that were topped up every day. Breakfast was pretty decent and thankfully not overly salty like so much northern food. It also has a good laundry room with industrial grade LG washers and dryers. Plus points - friendly helpful staff, great room amenities, decent breakfast Minus - the afternoon tea was a joke, it looked nothing like the advertised pics, and was just some processed biscuits, slices of bread to make your own toast and instant coffee sachets! The nightly supper was always only porridge and there was never any noodles as they advertised. Also beware of the day tour company that is linked with the hotel, the sales person (surnamed Ma) is very pushy. Booked a small group tour supposed to be no mode than 12 paxs but in the end when we arrived at 兵马俑，we were combined with another group and there was almosy 30 of us! Also tour guide misrepresented a VR short film as an actual tour of parts of Emperor Qin's mausoleum. Absolute nonsense. Then on the way back in the bus tried to push us to buy souvenirs. Twice during the tour, they ”processed” us through jade sales rooms, once after lunch and again after the Terracotta army tour. A very sub-par experience and tarnishes the Mercure name by being linked with them.

The first time I came to Xi'an, I stayed at Yaduo in Dayan Pagoda. This time I stayed at Yaduo on Huimin Street. The quality of Yaduo is still very guaranteed. The service is very good and considerate. The location of the hotel is very good. There is a bus stop at the door and a 2-minute walk. Minutes from the subway station. You can walk to Sajin Bridge and close to the Bell Tower. It would be perfect if the breakfast were richer. In Xi'an, you can either live near Huimin Street for the convenience of eating, or live near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda for the convenience of fun.
