I first stayed at this hotel for a business trip in November, booked by my company's event planner. I was unexpectedly pleased with how clean and comfortable it was. This month, when I visited Xi'an with friends, I brought them back to stay here again. Even though we were on a different floor, I was just as satisfied. The rooms aren't large, but they are incredibly clean and tidy, and the mattress firmness is just right. The air conditioning was also powerful; I barely needed a blanket in the first half of the night. My only minor complaint was the inconsistent water temperature in the shower. The water pressure was strong, the drainage was excellent, and the bathroom floor design was well thought out, preventing any water accumulation. It would have been perfect if the water temperature hadn't fluctuated between hot and cold. (I showered at 5 AM when water usage should be low, so this shouldn't have happened.) The front desk service was also very attentive. Before check-in, they called to confirm our arrival time, offered transportation advice, arranged our three rooms together, and patiently answered all our questions. Many thanks to them. The hotel's location is superb, right within the City That Never Sleeps (Buyecheng) and opposite Chang'an Grand Theater. Buyecheng truly comes alive at night. It was perfect to explore the city center during the day, watch the sunset from the city wall in the evening, and then take the subway back to Buyecheng just as the lights came on and it was at its most vibrant. After enjoying a meal and drinks at Chang'an Grand Theater, a short stroll brought us back to the hotel, which was very convenient. It's also very close to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, just a 20-minute walk. I recommend visiting the adjacent historical park after leaving the Da Ci'en Temple; it's free and offers great photo opportunities. The hotel staff also recommended a nearby Pao Mo (bread in soup) restaurant that was absolutely delicious – a century-old establishment that far surpasses any Pao Mo place in the Muslim Quarter.
