Ibis Hotel (Xi'an Bell Tower Metro Station)

Clean room, convenient location (near to subway), friendly staff. Only downside was that the gym had limited equipment. The WiFi was not working for me as well (staff did try to troubleshoot but to no avail).

Good choice for our 3 days and 2 nights at Xi'an. Actually the location is great, easy to be reached by Xi'an Metro and we just need to walk less than 5 minutes to the infamous Huiminje or Muslim Quarter. But we were confused about finding our way to the hotel. After going out from Xi'an Metro exit C ＞ 9 heading to Drum Tower (Gulou), take a stairway on your right side near Starbucks. Follow the corridor then turn right after seeing the first bridge (on your left side). You'll find the hotel signage. About language barrier, yes... Just use your translation apps on your phone for communication. A girl staff who can speak english took us to our room after checking in. But we didn't meet again on the next days. When we need to check out early for catching the next morning flight and want them to call a taxi, they offered us a private car service from their "older sister" (a lady who works as a tour agent at the hotel). They said it would be cost efficient rather than taking a random taxi on the street. We got to paid 60 yuan/person.

Always a nice stay here. I stayed here a few months ago and had a great experience. Coming back to Xi’an 3 months later, I had no second questions about staying here again. The location is perfect!! Right in the center of the city. Staff was nice and easy to check-in/check-out!

Metro station, Huimin Street, Bell tower, Drum tower and many shopping malls are within 500m walking distance. Hotel located a bit off from main road, thus, quiet. Room is clean, though not really big. Will book again on next trip.

Great location near the bell tower and the muslim food street. It was really difficult to find the hotel. Need better training for the hotel staff.

Good position to visit the city center. The room is in the backyard, in a very dirty area. We asked for the breakfast box (we paid for breakfast) but they don't provided us. Reception staff was not able to help us, nobody knew a word of English and it is incredible for an international hotel chain. we booked a not smoking room. They gave a smoking room, after our request, they changed the room, and it was ok.

Great to be so close to the bell tower and subway, but was a little challenging to get to at first. Only complaint is that the room smelled like smoke and could use a cupboard, but it felt like a student dorm that had a great feel to it, so we really liked the esthetics.

love location and room layout. The shower is powerful. the only thing i find a bit difficult is to locate the hotel even with map provided since it is located on another level. Propose to give clear instruction with photos, maybe from metro to the hotel.
