Ethos Hotel Wuhan Riverside

This hotel is located at No. 1 Lihuangpo Road, right next to a pedestrian street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. Hankou River Beach's Dongting Gate is just across the road, and you can easily walk to attractions like the Jianghan Customs Museum and Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street. It's also close to historic sites like Bagong House and Xian'an Fang, and old-brand eateries such as Dehua Tower and Cailinji. You could easily stay for two full days to explore everything. While the rooms aren't huge, the open balcony offers great night views and a partial river view. The bedding and facilities are very comfortable. For this location, it's a unique hotel with good value for money.

The room was tiny, and the bed was quite small too. The balcony was also miniature. The hotel's location is decent, right by the river, which was good for New Year's Eve. However, the rooftop terrace shown in the hotel's pictures wasn't accessible. There were big gaps under the door, letting in food and cigarette smells from outside into the room.

The room isn't huge, but it was perfect for my taste. The bathtub was great, and there was hot water even at 2 AM. The hotel is located on Lihuangpo Road, very close to the popular internet-famous Bagong Residence, making it super convenient for sightseeing. It's also not far from Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street. The room genuinely faces the river, so I could sit inside and watch the light show at night, and wake up to the sunrise over the river in the morning. My only minor complaint is that the chair provided in the room was too short; I had to use clothes to prop myself up. I hope they can provide a taller bar stool in the room for better comfort when enjoying the river view from the window. Overall, it offers good value for money.

First off, the hotel's location in central Wuhan is incredibly convenient, right next to the Former Residence of Soong Ching-ling in Hankou and the Li Huang Po Road Historical Block. It's rich in history and culture. Secondly, the hotel is spacious and bright, with clean, comfortable rooms. The design is unique, featuring a distinct retro style. Each room also has its own open balcony, offering expansive views and beautiful nightscapes. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I'll definitely choose FX Hotel again next time I'm in Wuhan.

After my personal experience, I'd say this place has both its pros and cons! First, let's talk about the good points: 1. I've stayed in many hotels, and their pillows are the best. They even provide a low pillow, which was incredibly comfortable. If you struggle with high pillows, you should definitely consider this place. 2. Being on a higher floor, you get a pretty decent side view of the Yangtze River from the small balcony. 3. The room's overall temperature was just right, and there are plenty of dining options conveniently located nearby. Now for the downsides: 1. It was a bit noisy at night. People were singing downstairs quite late, so if you're a light sleeper or have trouble falling asleep, you'll need earplugs (they were very effective). 2. The delivery robot messed up my order at night and delivered it to the wrong room, waking me up from a deep sleep. This was particularly frustrating, especially since I already have trouble sleeping. Other than that, everything else was pretty standard.

The surroundings are really convenient; there's a pedestrian street right downstairs, and it's also very close to the subway station. It has a small balcony where you can see the pedestrian street. The AC and heating work great, so no worries about winter.
