Wijlre Hotels & Accommodations

Samen met mijn moeder heb ik gebruik gemaakt van de nieuwjaarsspecial. Vanaf station Maastricht loop je door de heuvels in 2,5 uur naar het hotel toe. Aangekomen in het hotel zijn we vriendelijk ontvangen aan de balie en het inchecken gebeurde vrij snel. Kamer is eenvoudig maar van alle gemakken voorzien. Toilet is apart van de badkamer wat wij zeker als een + hebben ervaren. Voldoende handdoeken, koffie en thee, tv, WiFi, uitzicht naar buiten, zacht/stevig bed en inloop regendouche. Ivm de huidige maatregelen hebben wij op de kamer gedineerd. Dieet wensen waren bij het inchecken doorgegeven, maar daar is door het keuken team niet goed naar gekeken. Er was aangegeven dat persoon 1 geen paddenstoelen lust. Vervolgens bestond bij gang 1 de carpaccio (waar de paddenstoelen op de menukaart niet eens genoemd waren) voor de helft van t gerecht uit kantarellen. De t****e gang was tweemaal biefstuk medium rare besteld en bij aankomst op de kamer geeft de bediening aan dat 1 biefstuk welldone is. ‘Of dit erg is?’ We hadden trek, terug sturen naar de keuken zou langer duren omdat we op de kamer zaten, en het andere biefstuk zou dan afkoelen. We hebben toen aangegeven dat het wel erg is, maar weggooien is helemaal zonde! De chocolade taart maakte alles weer goed! Wat is die lekker. Het ontbijt moest op een afgesproken tijdstip afgehaald worden ivm afstand houden met andere gasten. Het afhalen was super geregeld en kon eenvoudig naar de kamer gebracht worden. Maar waar het ontbijt uit bestond liet wel te wensen over. De afbak broodjes waren koud, net als t gekookte ei en het roerei. De yoghurt en fruit kwamen in 2 bekers wat onhandig te delen was met twee personen. Beleg voor de broodjes bestond uit maar 1 plakje van alles (voor 2 personen? Moet het er dan niet 2 van alles zijn?) en het gebak was bevroren. Het verblijf op de kamer is echt heerlijk en de ligging van het hotel is perfect voor mensen die overdag de natuur in willen (en na afloop de kroeg opzoeken als het straks weer open mag na de lockdown). Maar voor het diner en ontbijt mag op dit moment vanuit het team iets meer aandacht zijn voor het naar de kamer gebracht wordt.

Easy hotel is what it claims to be. Functional and cheap. Some reviewers comment on the small rooms, but that's clear on the website of the hotel. The reception is manned 24/7. There is a vending machine and coffee station at the reception. After check out one can use the large lockers for €3 to store any bags. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. The rooms have nice showers and the temperature can be regulated too. For the price, the hotel is a good deal. Many rooms have wonderful views of the waterfront. An ideal base for a short trip to the city. Perfect for a single person or 2 people sharing the room.

The room was on the first floor but the way it structured is a bit weird. I still need to climb few steps up and down on the same floor. There was no shampoo or shower gel in the shower. The bed isn’t that comfortable thou. Location was really good. Really close to the station. Easy to get to the city central as well. The bath is huge!!!

Dit hotel als uitval basis gebruikt voor een dagje valkenburg. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is meer dan goed. Klein ontbijt bij de prijs inbegrepen. Kamers zijn klein, maar een goed bed en een goede douche. Parkeren is gratis. En je kan s'avonds nog een biertje, wijntje of iets fris kopen om op de kamer of buiten op het terras te nuttigen. Personeel is vriendelijk.

Service was good. Rooms complete. Breakfast was well cared and wide choice. Unfortunately we had the room above the Irish Pub. That's nicely useless. Until 4.00 hours no eye closed. Despite windows close to ventilator, no airco, and was very warm ....These rooms above the pub should actually be used nudity ......

I stayed here for four days for a business trip. The front desk staff were very helpful with questions about dining, parking and other services of the hotel. There are two parking garages that the hotel uses, one that has metal doors on either side, so if you have a large vehicle, you may want to use the other entrance around the corner which had a little more space on the sides. The room rate included breakfast as well as overnight parking.. The room (#636) faces the plaza next to the entrance of the parking garage. The rooms across the hall face the river. The room has two beds with a desk that hold the TV which can swivel to either the beds or the desk area. The bathroom has a nice walk-in shower with a glass partition. The space works for one person. There was two bottles of water that were left in the room each day. The hotel is centrally located with lots of café and restaurants on the same side as well as short walk to shops/restaurants across the river. I can see why many of the people from our company stay here.

Lovely and special hotel in city centre (converted monastery) with friendly staff and very clean rooms! Prices are a bit high for overall experience, current charged tourist tax by hotel is way higher than it really is [charged 5,- pppn, it really is 2,35 pppn), hotel could try to put you in a comfort room when a superior room is booked. Parking is too expensive, 5 walking minutes out of the ccity centre you park for free (Sittard is a small town). Buffet breakfast is too expensive for what it actually is, The bathrooms are mostly open plan.

Yes, the hotel is in the old town, wherever it is convenient, it is an old monastery remodeled. There is a Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel. The key is that Maastricht is very beautiful, there are not many people visiting in winter, and even less Chinese tour groups. Because of the junction of the three cities of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, it is very international. Shopping is great, Belgians are running over to buy things. Classical architecture, beautiful lakes, and the “Paradise Bookstore” rebuilt by the church.

Hilton Honors üyesi olarak özellikle seçtiğimiz otelde birbiri ardına gelen kötü deneyimler yaşadık . Otele giriş yaptığımızda 14.30 civarı idi, (check-inn 15.00), odalar henüz hazır değildi ki olabilir, bize bavullarımızı bırakmamız önerildi. Akşam 19.30 sıralarında otel döndüğümüzde bavulların olduğu odanın kapısının açılamadığını, görevli personele ve otel müdürüne ulaşamadıklarını öğrendik. İlaçlarımız dahil herşeyimiz kitliydi ve ne zaman açılacağı konusunda hiç kimsenin fikri yoktu. Yoğun ısrar hatta agresif bir yaklaşım ile sonunda gece 2.00 gibi kapı kırıldı ve bavullar geldi. Bu arada bize defalarca otel müdürünün pazartesi günü bize ulaşacağı söylendi, ki bu HİÇ OLMADI :(( Bitti mi, HAYIR, sonraki 2 gün oda temizlenmedi, sonunda gene defalarca söyleyerek odayı temizlettik. Bitti mi, HAYIR, Bu otelde 2 oda ayırtmıştık birisi 1 Eylül diğeri 2 Eylül çıkışlı.Kızımızın başka planı olduğu için. 30 Ağustos günü herhangi bir özür vs. alamamış ve zar zor odamızı nihayet temizletmişken, iki odayı da 1 Eylülde boşaltmamız gerektiği BİLDİRİLDİ. Şaka sandınız değil mi? gayet ***dilerdi, ne otele varış öncesi, ne check-in sırasında ne de otelde geçirdiğimiz 3 gün boyunca bahsetmedikleri bir fazla rezervasyon olduğu , çıkmazsak polis çağıracaklarını söylediler. Açıkcası elbette odadan çıkmayabilirdik, ama gerçekten artık olay bu otelden kaçıp kurtulalıma geldiği için, oteli terk ettik. Ne yaptılar derseniz, tabii ki biz ödemek kaydıyla başka bir otelde rezervasyon.... Yani siz bilirsiniz

I was extremely satisfied by my stay at Thermae 2000. Located on a mountain in Valkenburg, the panoramic views and the natural beauty of the surroundings give a great sense of serenity. The hotel is very comfortable. Each room, fully equipped and well maintained, has a little terrasse with a peaceful view on the forest. Built as a pyramid, it is the only hotel I know that has a little funicular instead of a lift to go from one floor to another. The staff in general, and especially in the hotel and the various restaurants, are always smiling, polite and seem to care and be happy to work in this place. They will make you feel welcome and comfortable, and attend to your every request with a smile. The spa facilities are very extensive, super clean and well maintained, and you can choose from a variety of options to suit your mood and needs. There are pools inside and outside and a very large choice of saunas, steam baths and water treatments as well as lots of space outside to relax and cool down. Throughout the day, free group activities are proposed. The spa treatments are very professional and enjoyable. The therapists are skilled and pleasant. All the rooms are clean, well maintained and provide the perfect atmosphere to relax and feel pampered. I tried the gastronomic restaurant for dinner (« Pure”) and it was perfect. The Indian lady Executive Chef has a very inventive, superbly presented, sophisticated and tasty cuisine. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny. The dishes are creative, fresh and flavourful, and the service is impeccable and reasonably quick – although the restaurant was full on that night. (It is advisable to book in advance) Overall experience: Perfect for a special occasion. I believe, it is one of the best spa resorts in the Netherlands and among the best in Europe. I personally truly unwinded and enjoyed every minute of my stay.
