Pinnacle Hotel Whistler

Welcoming staff, comfortable bed, and the large jacuzzi tub was just what I needed. I only stayed one night, but the kitchen seemed like it would be functional and nice if staying longer. Furnishing and decor a little outdated, if that matters to you (doesn't to me). The room was quiet and I found my stay restful.

Facilities are average, Ctrip is affordable during the holidays, but after washing my hair in the morning, I found that the hair dryer was bad. It made me wet my hair to go skiing. It was really depressing, but the price was ok, the room was large and the fireplace was very warm

The hotel is located in the small town of Whistler, and the back door of the hotel is the cable car. The location is very convenient. The hotel facilities are relatively new, the rooms are small, clean and tidy. There was no microwave in the room, and the refrigerator didn't work either, which was full of wine. Hotel parking is subject to additional charges.

Deer Lodge unit 216: Okay, won’t stay again. The building is older, the unit is okay. There is NO central air, a mobile unit was in the bedroom but that did not adequately cool the living area. The AC was not on to cool the unit in advance (after stating our arrival). Towel supply - only 3 face clothes and still had mascara stains on one. Toilet Paper - < 3 rolls for three days for three woman. Small rolls of TP. Cleanliness - dust bunnies in corners. Bedding was tossed into closet, not folded. Unit IS well stocked in kitchen. The pool are is nice. The pool could have been cleaner one day and was good the second day. The floor was ver slippery and people were slipping. However, our response is due to the fact we called and requested more toilet paper, face cloths and soap (2 small provided). This resulted in receiving two phone calls asking if we checked under the sink for face cloths. The second call was saying that the owner said there was adequate T.P. We were questioned about how much we needed and there was adequate amounts supplied. My RESPONSE to the person calling was I understood he was not the problem and I was not going to defend what we required and we would purchase our own supplies. This is the reason for a negative review. Customer service is not great!

When I booked, I thought of a five-star hotel, and the reviews from previous stays were also very favorable. So I decided to pick it up as a two-day one-day trip to celebrate our anniversary. It is commendable that the service attitude is very good, which makes up for other shortcomings. Open the door and enter the hotel room. Of course, you can visit the surroundings. There are showers, bathtubs, cloakrooms, and terraces...all of which are spacious and comfortable. Hotel facilities include fitness room, ball room, swimming pool... and free 2-hour bicycle rental. However, in a five-star hotel, it is unimaginable that the spouts of the kettles in the rooms are full of fluffy scorpions. Maybe the people who stay in the room never use them, and the waiters ignore them. They go to the swimming pool. The small swimming pool is one-third of the pool𥚃 All the branches and leaves on the surface have no intention of falling into the water, so I had to soak in the water in the small pool with massage function. If you look closely, the water is spraying, so you don't fall into the water. Sitting on a low plane, you can see a lot of leaves floating on the water. Will not choose to stay again.

We went to Whistler Christmas time pre-COVID. They had a booth where they were giving presentations for an Embarc time share where you could give a deposit for a time share presentation and they would give you a 4-night, 3 days stay at a hotel pretty much in the Whistler village next to the slopes as well as some sort of credit. We paid $199 Canadian for this package. Got an email with our reciept and an email with the voucher shortly thereafter. I gave them all my details (name, phone number, address, etc.) and after the initial receipt that was emailed to me, I never heard back again. Then COVID took place and Canada basically closed its borders for ”a few weeks” that turned into more than 2 years for people from the US who didn't have compelling reason (visiting family, travelling to Alaska, etc.). Tried calling several times, never got through because of extremely long wait times. Not once did we get any communication (despite them having our contact info). When I did call, they said I had opted out of communication (which I had not) and in the background they had been extending my voucher's expiration date as the pandemic continued. Again, no communication of any kind that this was taking place, and as I had an essential worker in the house, this wasn't entirely a priority. So when I did call to redeem my voucher, I was told that it had expired and I would need to pay more to use it and if i did pay more, I had to use it by the end of this calendar year. I know it goes without saying that you should be cautious about time shares and how they are sold, but this entire experience has definitely turned me off from Embarc as a company.
