Castlecourt Hotel, Spa & Leisure

I stayed here the past weekend with my partner & have to say this is one of my favourite hotels that I have stayed in. I work in the hospitality industry so visit alot of hotels but this was just a whole different experience, check in was really fast & we got there for 1.30pm and our room was ready when check in time is normally 3.30pm, we paid cash no issue with that at all as some places only accept card. The decor of the hotel from the minute you walk in is just beautiful & the hotel is spotless. There is always someone cleaning certain areas, the room we were allocated was amazing it had a four poster bed and it was very luxurious. The bathroom was lovely too and the shower in it was my favourite thing, it took me a while to get the hang of the electric toilet but we got there in the end. A really great touch in the room was that there was little bottles of white and red wine which we had on arrival to start out weekend off, alot of hotels barely give you water never mind wine. We are in the bar over the weekend and the food was delicous, service was excellent. The breakfast each morning was so fresh and loads of options and the breakfast room which was also Porto restaurant was relaxing and inviting. I left early yesterday as I needed to be back in Dublin early but we would have loved to stay another night, it is 5 mins walk to the town where you will find loads of pubs, cafes and small town shops, there is no shopping centre in the town, no big shops like you find everyone else but I think that is something that makes Westport special. The leisure centre is on site and its lovely, friendly welcome, spotless changing room and the pool was just at the right temperature. I dont have any faults as such but when we arrived I did have to use the bathroom in the lobby and some of the toilets in there were not clean at all but that was down to the people using them and not the hotel & I am sure the cleaning staff sorted them out as I cant imagine a hotel as nice as this one leaving toilets unclean. We will be back again and hopefully fairly soon, thanks again for a lovely relaxing weekend.

Had a lovely few days here with my mother and sister. The rooms are very pleasant and the staff are great. A special thank you to Jamie who managed to sort an alternative room for our elderly mother - we really appreciated it! We would definitely stay again!

We had an upgrade to a Superior room and it was wonderful. We ate in the hotel and the service and food was also excellent. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Nightly entertainment is good. Hardly any reason to step outside the hotel but the town is good for a walk around.

Great hotel stay. Very good value for two nights bed and breakfast and a fabulous evening meal. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was small but very clean and comfortable. Food was excellent and there was a very extensive choice. Location of hotel was great in centre of town. Took a sea**** Bath at the spa and this was really lovely and likewise the staff. Would highly recommend.

Mum and I attended the Paul Claffey Tours event held here recently and were really impressed with the place. Nice seating areas both indoors and outdoors for relaxing during the day. They really impressed us for the events each of the evenings. The staff at the door were superb and danced attention on the more elderly/frail in the audience helping them get to their desired seats whilst ensuring everybody had a "good spot". But the staff really shone at the gala nights where not only were we impressed with the choice and quality of the food but more so by the alacrity that all staff displayed in serving the tables, table by table. Nothing was too much trouble and it truly made our few days away all the more enjoyable.

Was down at the Castlecourt two weeks ago for the Paul Claffey Country music and we had an excellent time really enjoyed it. We actually stayed in the Plaza this time but I have the say I love both these hotels and would highly recommend them. Two years ago we went to Paul Claffey's music and stayed in the Castlecourt. The rooms are great and the food was very good. Just want to mention our young server at both gala dinners Patrick Crinnegan who looked after us to the best and the service at both dinners was excellent. Thank you Patrick. The location of the hotels is also excellent. I will certainly return to these hotels.

Stayed for two nights recently. Check-in was fine except for the room which was booked as a superior but what we got turned out to be a standard room. The hotel layout is quite all over the place having been extended many times throughout its history but there were lifts and it wasn't too much hassle. We did have to change rooms as there was a strong buffeting noise coming from the extract outside the bedroom window. Knowing we wouldn't have slept we asked to be moved which was no trouble at all to be fair. Once we were moved into another room at the front of the hotel all was well and where we discovered that the room we were moved to was actually a superior room with a 4 poster bed. The room itself was very comfortable and looked like it has been recently renovated. Bed was great. Had a nice sleep on both nights. Ate at the hotel that evening in the Bistro which we both agreed was excellent along with the breakfast on both mornings. Staff were very engaging, helpful and friendly. Would we return? Yes, for a deal! We would have given the review 5 stars but the initial room allocation was poor and like most hotels in Ireland now it was very expensive. We didn't use the greater facilities as we used Croagh Patrick for that 😁🚶🏼🚶🏼‍♀️🏔️

My son and I spent four nights in this hotel as part of country music event. I can't compliment the staff enough on their friendliness and customer care nothing was a problem. The food was delicious and well presented. Congratulations to Vincent and Jamie job well done looking forward to next year
