Not a five-star hotel. Two stars at best. Don't fall for the pretty Instagram pictures.
I'm writing this review to spare others what I went through. If you're choosing this hotel based on its glossy Instagram photos, stop right there. The image and the reality have absolutely nothing in common.
I booked and paid for my room well in advance. A few days before arrival, I messaged the hotel to confirm the check-in details — a simple, polite request that any decent property would answer within the hour. I received no reply. None whatsoever. Not a single message.
I arrived after a flight of more than 10 hours. Exhausted, but calm — after all, the room was paid for, so the matter was settled, or so I thought. Instead, I was met with rudeness and outright disrespect toward a guest who had just spent over half a day in the air. And then came the final blow: they refused to check me into the room I had already paid for. No alternative, no apology, not the slightest attempt to resolve the situation.
Let me be perfectly clear: this hotel could not care less about its guests. They won't answer your messages. They won't check you into the room you've already paid for. And they won't care whether your flight was one hour or fifteen. To them, you are not a guest — you are merely a line in their system, someone to wipe their feet on.
For $550 a night — a rate well above the Los Angeles average — here is what you actually get:
* Your pre-arrival messages completely ignored.
* Rudeness at the front desk instead of a welcome.
* A refusal to check you into a room you've already paid for.
* Total indifference to your situation, no matter how grueling your journey.
Two stars at most, and that's being generous.
I strongly advise against this place. Los Angeles has dozens of hotels that will treat you like a human being. This is not one of them. Walk right past it and save yourself the money and the aggravation.
