As I was admitted to hospital, we were unable to use our booking, so cannot comment on the location, cleanliness, service or facilities.
Had we been provided with a working telephone number for the hotel, we would have done the courtesy of letting them know.
I suppose I could have made up a glowing review, to earn the 50 Trip coin bonus.
Is offering a reward for a review a bribe?

I couldn't recommend this travel lodge enough! My car broke down on the A1 , luckily 3 minutes from here, there was a room available which was clean and very comfortable and I can honestly say the staff, receptionist Kaz, manager Lisa and I think a housekeeper Lisa (speedy?) We're absolute angels and couldn't of done enough for us, nothing was too much trouble for them, they were a absolute godsend! I travel a few times a year from home in Essex to family in Cumbria and this will definitely become a regular place to stop halfway overnight for me! Thankyou all for a clean comfortable stay and for being the amazing people you are! ❤️ Rachael H xx

Both Emma and Sue were delightful as we checked in and out. The room was clean and very comfortable.. not as noisy as we thought it was going to be.. very little noise considering it is closed to the A1. Find it strange we have to leave a certain amount of words to be able to leave this review

The hotel was extremely cheap for one night for somewhere to sleep and shower, a bit outdated but can't complain at the price paid. Reception team were very friendly, room was clean and shower very powerful.

Not bad, noisy but this was mentioned, constant traffic and barking dogs most of the night. The 2 front of house staff were friendly. Security in/out was good so felt safe. There was a great Little Waitrose a stones throw away selling decent breakfast items.

I think the surroundings of the hotel could be better with an input from others to keep the area clean and free of litter. The Hotel Staff were very good and explained the area, where to go for something to eat and drink and wished me a safe onward journey.

We stayed in room 22. It was clean but the mattress was hard and pillows were uncomfortable so we didn’t sleep too well. Marks on pillowcase and duvet cover. No bathmat not sure if they usually supply them but they are definitely needed. Receptionist Kaz was very friendly and helpful. Overall for £27 for the room it was a good stay and would use the hotel again. There was a bit of noise early morning from the road which is right by the hotel

All round excellent stay. Manager and staff were extremely efficient and helpful. Thanks also to new member of staff Josh who went out of his way to help me settle in on my first evening. Would recommend as reasonably priced with easy access to the A1.

Regularly stay in Travelodges around the UK but the staff here are one of the best! Very friendly and willing to help with any questions or queries. You also receive a welcome email before arriving with lots of useful information which you don’t get at other locations! The hotel has recently gained double glazing so most rooms are quiet enough even with the surrounding roads. Plenty of on-site parking shared with the neighbouring KFC Drive Thru and Subway, with McDonald’s the other side of the junction. Easily accessed from both sides of the A1 thanks to the junction so a great stopping place when heading either north or south!
