The stay was absolutely wonderful, however, checking in seemed to be the problem.
***Future hotel stayers, please be aware if you book through *******.***
Apparently there was a problem with ******* and the hotel, with not getting the funds from *******.
Staff had no clue what to do, by stating they didn’t know what to do and told me it may take some time to figure out how to resolve the problem. They had no idea what to say and by me telling them that they need to figure it out fast, made them realize they needed to call the GM to help override. ******* has been around for a couple of decades; sounds like user error to me.
To put icing on the cake, a family of 5 was having the exact same issue and the maintenance guy working at the hotel and of all people told us we need to lighten up and be more grateful, due to Thanksgiving being the day before. Hmmm I just drove 10 hours and the staff told me I couldn’t check in because of no payment. Guess what…payment was made awhile back.
There have been other reviews at this particular location that have stated the same issue happening. I think this may be a great opportunity to train the staff on how to handle ******* bookings moving forward. I have booked 150 hotels through ******* because of the rewards program and this issue is the first time it has ever happened to me.
