Staying at Ailing Zhongshan Yashe in Wenzhou was absolutely the right choice! The service was warm and attentive, with complimentary fruit upon check-in and snacks in the fridge. The breakfast was also excellent, featuring local specialty rice noodles and fish cakes, making for a fantastic experience. The cleanliness deserves full marks; both the public areas and the room were spotless and well-maintained. I had a very comfortable stay in this charming two-story courtyard guesthouse, designed in the Republic of China style. The environment was lovely, and the hygiene was impeccable. The front desk lady was very warm and welcoming, and the free Qipao dresses were perfect for photos!

The butler service was incredibly personal and heartwarming! The butler was enthusiastic but never intrusive, helping with luggage and providing travel tips. This guesthouse has a wonderful Republic of China-era charm, with a cozy two-story courtyard that's perfect for taking photos in a Qipao. I chose this place because I'm a fan of Eileen Chang, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Traveling during the off-season made it excellent value for money. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Wuma Historical and Cultural Block. The guesthouse's breakfast buffet was also really extensive. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Wenzhou.

This guesthouse, I'd say, has a historical and cultural feel, and it's pretty close to Gongyuan Road and Wuma Street, which is nice for a stroll. But the main issue is the accommodation itself; the soundproofing is terrible. It's right next to a busy road, so you hear all the chatter and traffic noise. We had two rooms, one family room and one twin room. The courtyard is tiny, and right outside the family room's door, there was a pile of used bedding and bottled water. Plus, it's right next to a public restroom, which smelled awful. They burned some sandalwood in the room to cover it up, but the smell returned pretty quickly. The other room was next to the kitchen, and they started preparing breakfast at 4 AM – all the washing, chopping, and talking made it impossible to sleep. It really only looks good in pictures; I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here.

This guesthouse has a great location, right at Wuma Street, and there's a partnered parking lot right next to it, which is super convenient if you're driving. The room has a Republic of China era style and is very clean, and the staff are really friendly. The biggest surprise of my trip with friends was choosing this guesthouse, apparently, Eileen Chang once lived here. It's not just a room; it's an experience: The guesthouse design has so much character, it's not like those cookie-cutter 'Instagrammable' places. You can see the owner's thoughtful touches in every corner, and I couldn't stop taking photos. I especially loved the little courtyard! In the afternoon, sitting on the sofa on the veranda, sipping tea and just zoning out, chatting with friends – all my fatigue just melted away. This is exactly what a guesthouse should be like! I have to give a shout-out to the lady at the front desk; she was super nice! As soon as we arrived, she enthusiastically helped us with our luggage, recommended local好吃 (delicious food) and好玩 (fun things to do), and answered all our questions like a thoughtful friend. I enjoyed staying in this home stay so much! Design is beautiful, felt like in 1920/30’s China. Staff is friendly and polite, you add their WeChat upon arrival and communicate through it, which is convenient for non Chinese speakers. Breakfast is simple Chinese buffet, very enough and cute. Location is just perfect for sightseeing, in the beautiful historical center surrounded by stunning parks. I ended up extending my stay how much I liked it.

It was really nice that's why i chose it..but the platform only forwarded 1 of our 2 bookings and the hotel was fullybooked..so we have no choice but to be relocated to a nearby hotel, which is also good but not as authentic n artistic as this one
