Beausite Park Hotel & Spa

Amazing experience. Great service. Beautiful view. Comfortable bed. Cozy room. Very nice spa and swimming pool. Very tasty breakfast. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Wengen. The hotel is located on the higher part of the village which offers better views of the Jungfraujoch and the Lauterbrunnen valley

The hotel is in a lovely position higher up in the town with glorious views of the mountains. Originally build in the late 1800’s the hotel has been tastefully updated and renovated over time. We had a large family room on the first floor with a balcony to enjoy those views. The bed was comfortable and pillows too (I prefer feather and this is what we had). The sound proofing is admirable as we hardly heard our neighbours or those above us, some footsteps but that’s about it. Breakfast was very good with the usual continental or cooked on offer, extensive cereals, breads, fruits and yoghurts. I am gluten free and everything was catered for. Highly recommend the half-board option and the evening food was excellent - see my separate review of Altitude. The bar is a relaxing and ambient place to relax after a day out. Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and accommodating - thank you to all for helping ensure our every comfort! The Chef made a point of coming to greet guests each evening which was a pleasure. Jan and his team are very talented! The spa facilities are very good and for the most part we did not feel the pool, sauna and solarium areas were overcrowded, which was great. We were there for skiing and, while it is possible to ski in and out from 50m away by walking across the garden and road to the beginners slope, this is only possible with decent snow. Otherwise it’s a 10min walk down or back up the hill into to town. The hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle service, at least during the peak times, as some we’ve stayed in do. Note to management: this would be a nice touch. Another helpful thing would be to have a more detailed info sheet on how to get to Grindelwald and Murren as skiers, as this can be time consuming and feel complicated unless you’re “in the know”. It took us about 1.5h to get to each place, so starting out early is a must. My only other suggestion to the hotel is for the manager to come round from time to time also. We never did meet him / her and it goes a long way to step outside of normal routine to ensure your guests are content. We would definitely stay again.

The BEST hotel in Wengen. This "legacy" hotel (started in 1898) is everything you can expect from a 5 star hotel, although the Swiss rating has given them 4 stars! We were greeted cordially upon arrivals by Irina and given a tour of the hotel and it's amenities by her. In other occasions Lea was at the reception to answer any and all of our questions. Great location: away from any crowds or noise and yet 5 minute walk to everything ( keep in mind Wengen is a very small town). The hotel sits on a hillside overlooking Wengen and Jungfrau for a beautiful view. We had booked a "Jungfrau with balcony" room and were not disappointed. What a view. Modern bathroom with all the amenities. The pool, Jacuzzi and the Spa were great having a Finnish and Bio (lower temp) sauna plus a steam room. The views in the restaurant while having a relaxed breakfast and /or dinner were beautiful. Breakfast service was a generous and plentiful spread with the always smiling and welcoming gentleman at the egg/omelet station. Lea, and Jan the restaurant's manager/Chef duo were always there and the staff present to happily answer your call. House keeping was always present and ready to provide anything you needed for the room especially Anna Maria in our floor. We had the good fortune of meeting Mr. Rikic the hotel manager having a great interaction with him on a few occasions regarding the hotel, its history and all the wonderful future plans for it. As oppose to many other highly rated (4 and 5 star) hotels that you never see the hotel's manager, he was always walking around and ready to strike a conversation. It was very refreshing and certainly gave us a feel of being at home not a hotel. I would certainly RECOMMEND this hotel. Hope to visit soon. Merci Vilmal!
