Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to Sofitel Wellington for providing excellent service, as well as Ctrip for providing excellent service and providing guests with a satisfactory stay experience. Next, I wish Sofitel Wellington and its staff: happiness and happiness! Happy! Abundant financial resources! Wishing Ctrip and its staff happiness and happiness! Happy! Abundant financial resources!
The specific comments are as follows: 1. Location: The Sofitel Wellington Hotel is located in the center of the New Zealand capital, near the Parliament Building and the sightseeing train. Opposite the hotel is the five-star Bolton Hotel. 2. Star rating, from the perspective of hardware facilities and five stars at the same price, the so-called 5 ⭐ Star, not satisfactory. Why? With no swimming pool, no garden, and no free parking lot, parking is a problem. Ctrip has indicated that hotels can park cars for guests. From the perspective of software services, the attitude is very good, but there is no foreign language dialogue service. Here, it means that there is no Chinese language service, so it is basically enough ⭐ Star rating. 3. Breakfast, basically in France 🇫🇷 A predominantly European style. The restaurant is small, but the hygiene, service, hot working and on-site production are very good. 4. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, there are small refrigerators and ”mini bars”, there are desks, wifi, murals, bedside cabinets, wardrobes, coffee machines, hair dryers, etc. The hotel will not actively provide disposable dental supplies and bottled water, but guests can ask for them separately. During Easter, the hotel hung a homemade chocolate biscuit outside the guest room door as a gift, which was quite warm. In addition, the hotel has a small lounge and a small gym.
Overall, you can obtain 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Star review, thank you!

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Check in was a breeze, and we were allocated a room as requested, in a quiet zone of the hotel. Although on a steep hill, the elevator down the street level was a bonus. After a long day, we used the room service and can highly recommend the Haloumi Burger for something different. But please have a Club Sandwich on the menu in the future. The bed was terrific and we had a great sleep. Breakfast (included in our room tariff) was great. A take away container of fresh fruit offered was a nice bonus. Will I/We stay here again? Yes. Sure will.

We stayed in a King Premium Club Lounge Access Harbour View room which was great. Nice and spacious and loved the fact that you can open the window slightly for fresh air (kudos to the engineers who designed it to withstand Welly's wind). From arrival, everything was seamless. We rolled up in the hire car and the concierge was very prompt with taking our luggage and by the time we returned after we had dropped off the hire car, not only did they allow early check-in but all the luggage was already in the room. The position of the hotel is great, numerous restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity, plus the main shopping street was 2 blocks away. The club lounge access really made this stay, the breakfast was excellent as were the evening snacks and cocktails. The afternoon tea was OK. Thank you to Jecelle for her professional hospitality at breakfast and to Delphine for her charming service and excellent cocktail making skills and to David for his service. The concierge also organised our airport transfer upon departure making the stay from start to finish worry-free and very pleasant. Thank you for a great stay.

It's an older hotel and the halls smell a little funky but that quickly fades. The rooms show some signs of wear but are clean and have all the things you need. The bed was clean and comfy. The dining room was cozy and inviting. There seemed to be a little confusion in the kitchen, I know places are short staffed, but the food that arrived I really enjoyed. It is close to lots of things, I was on foot for this trip. The value was good for the price and I would stay here again.

I spend most of my time in Asia hotels where you are spoilt for 5 star options at 3 star prices. So it was good to find a hotel in Wellington that didn't break the bank but was nice enough to warrant repeat stays. Lovely, spacious room with kitchenette; very quiet thanks to double glazing; nice bathroom with decent toiletries; and a comfy bed that gave me some of my best sleeps when travelling. Also a guest laundry on the floor. Staff were friendly, eager to help, and accommodating of my special requests. I try not to be demanding but I did have a lot of complicated needs on this long stay, and all were met. The hotel is in a handy location, 10-12 mins stroll into the CBD. There's also a bus stop close by, on the Johnsonville or Grenada route. I didn't bother with nearby restaurants. There's a small supermarket in the Railway Station and a big supermarket on Molesworth St where you can get groceries and ready to eat supplies. You can also buy cheap kitchenware if needed at the nearby Mary Potter Hospice shop and donate it back when finished.

In Wellington for a funeral unfortunately and our first visit to Movenpick Wgtn. From check in to to check out this hotel has everything nailed. The staff are extremely well- trained being friendly, approachable and professional. The upgraded decor is classy. I could not find fault at all. I particularly want to compliment our check-in guy. He delivered the best check in we have ever experienced in the world. Thank you, we will be back.

We didn't get what we had booked. Wanted 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each, next to each other. Our rooms were on separate floors, one had a king and a single trundle bed in it. We had sent emails prior requesting this, had confirmations back ensuring our request was met, only to be told on arrival, after we had paid, that one room had been moved to another floor! Receptionist didn't seem to care that we were very disappointed. When we went to second (upgraded) room, the bathroom door had come off it's roller making it hard to open or shut, and came right off at one point, dangerous as was heavy solid glass. Asked reception to have it fixed next day, got back that night to find it hadn't, asked again following morning, was fixed next day.

We have a blast, from the friendly staff, complimentary foods, the room and the aesthetic place. The location is good easy access for foods, entertainment and shop. We enjoy the breakfast it is worth it. A bit sad, the pool is not that well maintain during our stay. Next time, I hope how many people in the room equal to how many the toiletries (ex. Toothbrush) except for shampoo, body wash, conditioner and hand wash. We’ll come again for sure and recommend to people who plans to have a trip in wellington. Hence, the place is warm and overall the facilities and services are the best.

We stayed at the Ramada Wellington for 5 nights. We had no heat in our room, the temperature dropped to 14C in the room. The only option the staff gave us was a portable heater and some blankets. No offer to move rooms. We spoke to staff everyday about the heat and were told it would be fixed. The heat wasn't fixed until our last night which then they finally offer a new room to us. For our trouble, they gave us one free night. There was a lack of problem solving with the staff at this location. When we asked about the heat of moving rooms, we were greeted with blank stares. As for the room, it was a suite, differently needed a deep cleaning. There were a few weird smears on the walls and the carpet quickly blackened the bottom of socks. Only redeeming feature was the in-suite laundry.

The room layout is reasonable, clean and tidy, and the view outside the window is beautiful. The hotel's breakfast is also good. The front desk staff is a little distant, maybe it's the capital style hahaha. There is a fee for parking opposite during the day ~ The hotel also charges. The front desk staff said helplessly many times, there is no way, it's Wellington, or CBD. I don't know whether to laugh or cry ~ I guess I haven't been to the CBD in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou hahaha The hotel is generally good

Outstanding
VV.C.What a fantastic hotel/apt studio right in the heart of Wellington CBD. For the price and amenities, it really can't be beaten. I'd paid more previously at TRYP, but this Quest location is far better. 👍 Although the room is the same size, it has far more amenities w a kitchenette, eating area, washer/dryer and toiletries. Right outside it's easy to find eateries and you're in walking distance of the cable car, the museum, shopping and sundries.
Can't recommend this place enough if you want bang for your buck, and you don't plan on being in the room long. Great for layovers.
P.s.- they have limited reception hours, so if you're arriving after 7pm or require assistance, this place might not be for you. Very self-service.
Ttiz_iO M G. The staff are so lovely, the room was perfect for our overnight stay. The ladies at the front desk were super busy when we checked in but still managed a smile for everyone. The bussiness however meant that we weren't told about the charge for parking. We were happy to pay because secure overnight parking is hard to come by, but it was a surprise when the gentleman checking us out advised of it. (It does say about the charge on the back of the paper that goes in your car windscreen, however after being mucked around by our initial hotel, we were in too much of a rush to get sorted for the concert we were attending that we didn't even think to read it)
GGuest UserStayed for 2 nights on and adults weekend away. Great little hotel, rooms are nice with fully equipped kitchen in the suite. I would recommend the suite rather than room for a bit more space. Nice little touches like Bottled water, an Organic fruit drink and chocolate in your room on arrival. Plus you can help yourself to soft drinks and coffee in the lobby anytime. Came with breakfast (continental) which looked nice but we ate out. Customer service was really god. Very close to everything, Will stay again. The only thing that bothered me was no opening windows, but fresh air vents are in place.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good, in the city center, next to the Parliament Building, not far from the ferry, the room is spacious and clean, with kitchen facilities similar to an apartment, very suitable for family travel. The breakfast has fewer types than Hilton, but the quality is okay, 35nzd is half price for a child (my family is 3 and a half years old), and the hotel helps with parking for 40nzd, which is still very convenient. After all, the hotels in Wellington are basically not easy to park, after all, the city center is very expensive.
The view from the room is good, there is a green area outside the window, which is the local cemetery (the locals don't mind these, it's very similar to Japan), and I personally don't think it matters, after all, the environment is very good.
GGuest UserWe have always enjoyed staying at QT Museum Hotel. We were given the option to upgrade to a Seaview room on the top floor with an additional charge. Seeing it is a more quiet room compared to my booking request on the 1st floor near road traffic and rubbish bin area, I paid the extra for the upgrade per night for 2 nights.
Our room was not serviced well the following day. Rubbish bin in the bathroom being the only one was not emptied. The Bath and Shower gel was not replenished, we had to asked for it to be refilled. the cushions on the bed was still on the floor from the night before, the ironing board was still left out - I did not put it back as the iron was still very hot after ironing my dress for my conference that morning. The gym facilities was very tired with all towels being used and the used towels bin was overflowing.
I was very disappointed with my stay this trip, using shortage of staff since Covid is a very old excuse now. Systems and procedures should be in placed by management to ensure the 5 star ratings is upheld. No point upselling or selling more rooms if they cannot keep customers happy to come back again. This was not only my opinion but that of my colleagues. very disappointing!

Good hotel in a handy central location. Good reception area, staff were friendly and welcoming. Not a modern hotel by any means but a classic feel to it.
Was assigned a wheelchair accessible room 507, Room was a small queen room that was clean and well appointed. Being a disability accessible room, the bathroom was huge and essentially a wet-room without a bath. Not that I wanted one, but you would expect to see one, normally.
Nearly slipped in the shower as I didn't find the rubber grip mat until after my shower as it was under the towels on the towel rail, where I didn't see it, rather than in the shower on the hand rail where I would.
Good to see they have done away with the plastic bottles for
Had an internal room facing another hotel block without a view, but this meant it was quiet. Wellington can get noisy on a Friday night but I slept well.
Check out took maybe 10 seconds.
Would stay again.
Damon
GGuest UserGreat location, right in the city center and close to bars. If you’re ok with noise then it’s a great hotel. We could hear lots of people outside drinking, people in the room next to us all night.
Breakfast was great.
If you are stay for 1 night and are looking for a hotel near the bars then this is a great hotel for you.
My partner and I stayed overnight in room 316 last night. We arrived and was quickly given our key card. The lady at the desk seemed nice enough. We got to the third floor and noticed the carpet in the hallway was filthy and lumpy. We felt like we would trip over! Entering the room, the linens were clean and the room had obviously had a 5 minute clean, but parts that were missed bothered us the most. On the textured ceiling, there was a thick layer of dust, so thick in fact, that it looked like dust bunnies were about to fall off, as shown in the photo. This made for an uneasy sleep, as it seemed very unhygenic. Splatters above the toilet and on the mirror in the bathroom were also noticed, as well as black spots from the ceiling due to mould. Wifi and the TV worked fine, but the heating element in our jug had turned black on the inside, and black bits were showing in our cups, so tea was out of the question. The next morning we had breakfast. This was the best part of our stay. Good options and plenty of food. Overall 2 stars. For this price, you'd expect better.
GGuest UserMy stay was disgusting and the receptionist (manager) was rude, mean, dismissive and argumentative. She has no empathy, doesn't care, she acted like I was inconveniencing her by just checking in and checking out. She would stare at me with utter distain. No ounce of customer service skills. Then had the audacity to call me rude and told me to get people skills. I was merely reacting to her being nasty and my taking money. She has no professionalism what so ever constantly acts like she is annoyed. She acted like she owned me and was trying to be my mummy She yelled at me and stole my money. The accommodation is disgusting, I dont even know where to start Upon arrival I thought there was no one there, I was left standing there. I didn't realise the receptionist was in the office ignoring me until a lady with a duffle bag went into the office and I asked the lady if someone was there to which she said yes. So I went to pop head in to say hello and the receptionist set on me growling at me and being nasty telling me to get and go away. She was rude and treated me like a criminal during check in. The room was impossible to find but I found it eventually. She heartless and inconsiderate. It's not a hotel it's a hostel Upon check out the receptionist acted like she was pissed off that I wanted to check out. She growled me because I touched the reception desk, there was some old tape hanging off and I kinda played with it and she just kept growling me and yelling at me saying I was ripping it when I wasn't and she wouldn't let me speak or shut up. I had to yell over her to check me out. She refused to give my money back because there was a hair dye transfer from me bright red hair on a towel. I explained the dye is water soluble and it will wash out. Never mind that my makeup and mascara were on the towels. She staring yelling at me and would only give me 80 dollars in the end. She only gave it to me because I argued with her she was going to take the whole 100. I had folded the towels, emptied the rubbish wipes the floors. She had to unfold the towels like literally look through a customer's washing. She was looking for a reason not to give my money back. When I was trying to explain the room situation she yelled at me and talked over me I was just trying to have a discussion about the issues with the accommodation and she yelled at me and growled at me for not complaining sooner. I can actually raise an issue whenever I please. The fridge leaked in the middle of the night and I used a towel to clean that up. Out of courtesy I placed a towel on a pillow to sleep to avoid hair dye transfer. The room was gross the shared toilet and bathroom were gross there was urine on the underside of the toilets. The shared kitchen area was gross There's like a ventilation system above the bed covered with dust, grime and build up which fell on me and the bed so I pulled it away. No mirrors! The draws and furniture are so old and tatty and smell bad.
刘刘Hotel location is very good, in the center of Wellington, the parking lot is on the upper floor, to go up a steep slope, parking fee 15 NZ / day. The interior decoration is a bit antique and has a sense of history. The downside is that I arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve, and the front desk was closed (should be at 7 pm), saying that I sent an email to me, but I didn't find it in fact. Still the cleaning guy, contacted me, opened the key box, and got the key.
