Spent two nights while in the area. Note that there are two hotels on the property: Martin's Waterloo and Martin's Grand Hotel. Martin's Waterloo is located in an old sugar factory so it has some history. The room was quite spacious and had a modern feel. The two beds were very close together with little room to place one elsewhere if you didn't want to be too close. The mattresses were on the soft side too, which made for a less comfortable sleep. While the room offered AC, the unit itself was noisy. Plenty of storage space, a fridge and safe were included with the room. The bathroom was equally roomy with a walk-in shower that was very much appreciated. Overall, it was clean and pleasant. Breakfast was a continental variety with some self-serve hot options such as eggs, pancakes and sausage/bacon. Staff worked tirelessly to replenish supplies for guests. The dining area (inside Martin's Grand Hotel) is beautiful with arched brick columns and plenty of seating. The location is ideal for Waterloo enthusiasts or those just passing through. The town of Waterloo is a few minutes walk from the hotel where there is plenty to see and do. Not sure I'll be back in the area again but would definitely give it another go if I was.

Stayed here one night for business, nice hotel, free car parking, great air conditioning although a little loud, excellent shower, good breakfast and dinner in restaurant in evening was excellent t and nice staff and service from everyone

Hôtel basique pour un quatre étoiles, décevant chambre et salle de bain d'une banalité rare. Je ne vois pas l'intérêt de prendre le quatre étoiles plutôt que le trois. J'ai l'impression qu'on nous avait mis du côté trois étoiles, pas de tasse pour le café, minibar vide, armoire vieillotte. Je n'y retournerai pas.

L'accueil a la réception est excellent, la chambre spacieuse avec une literie confortable, environnement calme on n'entend pas un bruit L'établissement est super, le bar accueillant, la salle du petit déjeuner magnifique .....bref nous avons passé un très bon moment je le recommande

Nous avions réservé une chambre au lodge dont nous apprécions les chambres design et les douches à l'italienne. Quand nous avons enregistré la réceptionniste nous a informé que nous avions été "surclassés" dans une chambre du bâtiment principal. Nous n'avons pas tardé à déchanter. Première déconvenue, l'ascenseur était en panne. La chambre était désastreuse et faisait plutôt penser à un rebus. Armoire bringuebalante chauffage poussif soufflant plus de poussière que de chaleur. Une seule table de nuit. Des gobelets en carton et quelques sachets dans un sac en plastique en guise de plateau de courtoisie. Des meubles usagés et sinistres. Salle de bain d'un autre âge avec un rideau en plastique. Nous nous interrogeons également sur le soin apporté au ménage surtout en cette période de COVID. Il y avait des toiles d'araignée à plusieurs endroits. Couettes très fines nous avons grelotté toute la nuit. Des progrès doivent être réalisés pour le respect des gestes barrière au petit déjeuner !
