"I first heard about this place on Instagram and thought it was so beautiful. Its incredible structure is just as gorgeous when you see it in person. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. It was so cool because they had a machine that translates different languages depending on what you speak. This was the first time I’d ever seen anything like it and found it very helpful as I don’t speak Mandarin. Breakfast isn’t included but you can purchase their set meals for 37 yuan and have it while looking out at the beautiful courtyard. If you need train station transfer, you can easily ask for it for 80 yuan per way which made my check in and check out process smooth. They also allow you to try on their cultural costumes for free. If you need hair, makeup and photography services than it’s 499 yuan. As a solo traveler, I decided to try it out. They were very nice, however I definitely struggled with the very white makeup since I myself am very tanned. In their defense they did their best with trying to give me something darker and in the makeup room it seemed fine. But with the different lighting outside and the camera flash, when I got my pictures back I basically had a ghost face 😞 The foundation also wasn’t applied to my neck and arms, so it was very apparent. I’ve asked the photographer to help standardize my skin so hopefully that helps whenever it’s done. You receive a total of 9 retouches photos as part of the package. However, if you prefer to do your own makeup or are traveling with others then they can take pictures for you instead. The place is very convenient for finding restaurants and if you’re primary goal is the visit the old town. It’s very close by, so I was able to explore easily and then return to the hotel for breaks when needed. Lastly, you can use their laundry machines and get laundry pellets for free. Ideally this is great. But I will say the drying part is dreadful. The instructions say to do the 2/3 rule. However, even when I followed and put a small batch of clothes in it never dried. I tried once for 1.5 hours, then again for another hour, and still nothing. That was probably the only real part that was frustrating."

"I booked a garden view room which came with two small courtyards, one in the front and one in the back. The room was spacious and very clean. Opening the window to see the blue sky and white clouds was incredibly relaxing. 😎 The hotel's back entrance leads to a parking lot, making it convenient for parking and calling for a ride. The front entrance is right next to an ecological corridor, and directly across from Erhai Lake! Extremely convenient! The hotel's location is excellent, offering peace and quiet yet close to everything. Misan Bookstore, which is absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos, is just a 200-meter walk away. Later, when we cycled past Caicun Village and S-bay, it was crowded with people and cars, which made me appreciate the hotel's location even more. 👍 The hotel staff, especially the gentlemen, were also great. They helped us plan our itinerary, and the food was fantastic – we even came back to the hotel for dinner twice! There was also an afternoon tea and sweet soup in the evening, which was a nice touch! Overall, highly recommended!"

"Overall, this place is pretty good. The rooftop viewing platform really lives up to the hype – it's stunning and perfect for photos! The service is also great. For breakfast, you choose the night before, and it includes either a Chinese or Western set platter (it's for two people, you have to pick one), two main dishes (like rice noodles or 'er si'), and two drinks. It's conveniently located right by the road, but because of that, it can get quite noisy at night with passing cars. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider. But if you're willing to overlook that for some amazing photo ops – like me – then it's totally worth it!"

"The owners are very welcoming and the room is spacious, equipped with a sofa and tea table, which is very convenient. It's only a few hundred meters from the ancient city and very close to the food street. The bus station is right across the street, and electric scooter rentals are next door, which is super handy. The courtyard gate is also beautiful."

"The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. They picked us up, recommended great restaurants, and even helped us find a driver. The room design was very tasteful, spotlessly clean and tidy. The air conditioning was nice and cool, and the shower had plenty of hot water. They even thoughtfully set up a baby bed rail for us. Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. The highlight is definitely the rooftop garden where you can see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, and even catch the sunrise in the morning. Absolutely loved it!"

"Traveling with my family of four in March, we chose this hotel and had a fantastic stay! The front desk lady was incredibly helpful. On our first night, she even upgraded our room for free to ensure our comfort. The new room was huge, with excellent natural light, making it feel warm and cozy in the afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised to find a full-length mirror too – a big thank you for that! 🙏 This hotel is definitely worth choosing for a family trip. And the hotel's cat, Soy Sauce, is so clever and adorable; my kids loved playing with her every morning."

"Every stay at Erhai Zhixin is incredibly refreshing. It's conveniently located, surrounded by lush greenery, and filled with the sounds of birds and the scent of flowers. The entire property is smart-enabled, and the rooms are bright, spotless, and impeccably clean. Lying in bed, you get a panoramic view of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, which truly broadens your mind and helps you clear your thoughts. The owner is warm and hospitable, and the service is exceptional. I'll never forget how delicious the 'small pot er'si' was. You can also slow down, enjoy a coffee, and listen to some music – all your fatigue and worries just melt away."

"I have been back for a few days. I remembered that the hotel with a great experience this time is worth my praise. First of all, the location is super good, the first line of sea view, the second is the price is super cheap, and the train station is also picked up. The breakfast is rich and delicious and free. These points are already excellent enough. The young man at the front desk was enthusiastic. When waiting for the bus in the lobby, I drank a few cups of Pu'er tea. It was also super delicious. It was also very good to bring my parents. There was an elevator. The elderly with bad legs and feet were completely fine. In short, it was a very cost-effective hotel. The beds are spacious and very comfortable, perfect for two people to sleep in. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, and the breakfast was also delicious.
