This is literally my happy place. Jason & Coral are amazing hosts. The renovations to the cabins are great and the common areas are always clean and well-kept. You can't beat falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves and birds. Can't wait to go back!

The community on Water Island are welcoming and friendly. It is a great camp place to get away from the fray and unplug into the ease of the natural surroundings and beauty of the USVI. Highly recommend if you are looking for camping and fun. The owners Jason and Coral are extremely attentive and will answer most of your questions. The Honeymoon Beach is breathtaking and off the grid fun. Enjoy!

Very cool and absolutely gorgeous! I've never been to St. Thomas/Water Island and I just wasn't expecting the dramatic views and multiple of small periphery islands which gives a mini SE Asian vibe. Water Island itself is seemingly a big spread out resort (in a community way not quantity of people) in itself where you familiarize with the (very friendly) locals quickly. I really enjoyed talking with Jason and the other guests as well so all in all it turned out to be a great long weekend trip.

Virgin Islands Campground was simply the best- don't let campground fool you, they have 8 buildings that are are a cross between a cabin and a platform tent. Lots of screens to let air flow through, views of the water and privacy from other "campers". The open air kitchen is very well equipped, and you have your own small fridge for your food and a cupboard with dishes for you. Once you take the ferry over, you're picked up and driven the short distance to the campground. While you can rent a golf cart, we didn't, and enjoyed walking around the island to see the fort. With two beaches within a 10 minute walk of the place, you're well placed to enjoy a beach day regardless of the direction of the wind. This had been our first trip to the Carribean, and now are eager to return to stay at the campground again.

We love staying in indoor/outdoor tent-like structures in walking communities, so this place was a great fit for us. From the campground, you can walk down to a sandy beach on one side, and a rocky beach on the other. The cabanas are well-maintained and the outdoor kitchen is really well-appointed with all the equipment you need for a nice meal on the fly. Beautiful views from both cabana and kitchen area. Best part of the whole experience is Jason, the manager. Can't think of a better person to run the place. We'll be back!

This was our first stay at the Virgin island Campground. We have visited Water Island before, and it quickly became one of our favorite places when visiting St Thomas. We heard about the campground and stayed for 3 nights with our children. Jason was absolutely WONDERFUL. It was very clear immediately that he takes pride in his facilities as everything was immaculate. The bathhouse was super clean, as well as the Kitchen area. All the cooking supplies you would need are at your fingertips. The views are breathtaking and the wildlife that surrounded us provided constant entertainment for our young children. They were amazed by the large hermit crabs, lizards, friendly turtles, and iguanas. It was an experience of a lifetime. You will not be disappointed with your stay here. We plan to return. Thanks Jason for being such a wonderful host!

This was our third time staying at the campground. Jason and Coral, the new owners, were helpful and welcoming. We love being able to visit with other guests at the common area. Honeymoon Beach is a short walk, or you can rent golf carts if you don't want to walk the hills. We got drinks at the beach bar; however, they charge you $10 a day to use their chairs on the beach. We also spent time at The Crossing having a cold drink and chatting with owners Lori and Mark. Heidi's food was great as always;however, we miss her being on the beach and the Monday night movies shown on the beach. Overall, we enjoy staying at the campground and will likely do it again.

We had the BEST time at the campground for the 2023 Holidays. Jason and Coral went out of their way to make our family feel welcome and comfortable. We had our entire family with us, grandparents, aunts/uncles, and 6 kids ages 6 and under! They had a magical time exploring, feeding the tortoises and hermit crabs, and star gazing at night. Camp ground life with kids isn't easy, but Virgin Islands Campground made it FUN. Counting down the days to our return.
