After a very long 29-hour journey, the last thing a guest wants is to feel unwelcome upon arrival.
Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk was disappointing. The female receptionist with curly hair appeared indifferent while checking me in. Even when speaking to me, she avoided eye contact and seemed focused on other tasks. In hospitality, the reception team creates the first impression of a hotel, and I found this behavior unprofessional and unfriendly.
When I checked out, the female receptionist with straight hair was also not particularly welcoming. The only receptionist who showed some warmth and friendliness was the gentleman at the front desk.
During my first night, I experienced itching and discomfort. I’m not sure whether it was related to the bedding or towels, but I requested fresh sheets and towels to be replaced.
My room was also missing a refrigerator and a safety deposit box, which I would normally expect for a more comfortable stay.
That said, I would like to recognize Alma, who kindly provided coffee for my room, and Maira from housekeeping, who worked incredibly hard and was always helpful. They were the highlights of my stay and deserve recognition for their excellent attitude and service.
I hope management takes guest feedback seriously, as a more welcoming front desk experience would make a significant difference.
