Hotel Warszawa

The hotel is luxurious, has a boutique feel and everything about the design and decor is 5 star+. However, our weekend family stay got off to a bad start when the reception didn’t have our reservation. There was no apology and almost an attitude by the unfriendly and arrogant young lady at reception of it being my fault. At breakfast the next day, the restaurant and the quality of the food was excellent but the staff were untrained, unfriendly and on occasion could not communicate in Polish or English. Food was removed from our table when we were half way through, nobody explained the concept, ie no buffet, which was great and what could have been a wonderful experience, was let down by the staff. They saved the best for last at checkout. I was asked if I had anything from the minibar. I replied to say that I had not but reminded the lady that we had drinks at the bar that should be added to our bill. I was then shocked to be told that I would now have to wait to checkout whilst a member of staff checked the minibar in my room. I felt like a criminal at a 1 star hotel in a mass tourist resort. Again, not what you expect from a 5 star boutique hotel paying USD 300 a night and having reminded them of my bar bill. One, more senior member of staff ultimately realized my frustration and took over the checkout process, although by this point, the damage was done. Really disappointing to see this beautiful and luxurious hotel ruined by staff with no training but most of all with such an arrogant attitude that it made the whole experience feel very uncomfortable. The doormen were however extremely polite and helpful. Not enjoying writing such a negative review, I truly hope managements take action as we have been staying and eating at hotels in the Likus chain for years and have always had an enjoyable experience until hotel Warszawa.

This is a nice hotel, good accommodation, great location within 5/10 walk mins of three railway stations and closer to tram and underground BUT……. It has real issues with staff errors and then quoting polish law giving them 14 days to fix issues / complaints doesn’t exactly give a good view of customer focus or indeed reward of loyalty to IHG’s brand or this hotel where I have stayed a few times before. Due to a queue at reception I just left the card and did express checkout, however 10 minutes after I left the hotel took a payment for DOUBLE the correct room rate. An hour after that they then took another payment for the correct amount but did not cancel the original payment - clearly someone’s made an error and charged me someone else’s room and then thought putting it through again would fix it. Wrote to hotel and got a snotty email back in a tone that did not accept they had made an error. This email didn’t apologise either but it did quote under polish law we have 14 days to fix this which is pretty bad. There was also no appreciation that taking multiple payments in error could give some people financial difficulty as they cannot then access the funds taken in error I am now having to get my bank to complete chargeback as I am not waiting 14 days for them to reverse a payment taken in error This isn’t the first staff related issue I’ve had at this hotel so I won’t be back as there are plenty of other IHG hotels nearby that can operate without errors or sending snotty emails to Diamond Elite IHG members - on a previous visit they put me in a room right above on site construction work which was nice of them! If your going to risk staying here I’d advise paying upfront and not using express checkout

Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel, Warsaw

We stayed three nights at this hotel during my recent trip to Warsaw. The hotel is located not far from Warsaw Central Station (Centrum), with easy access by tram and buses (two stops only). The exterior of the hotel doesn't look inspiring, compared to similar 4-5 star hotels near Central Station, but the interior is actually of high standard and well-maintained. To get to the hotel from centrum, you can take buses and tram in front of the station. Bus number 175 stop directly in front of the hotel. To get to Old town, you can also take bus 175. The staff at reception desk were quite helpful to deal with our requests. Our room was family room with extremely large bed. The room is large enough to put in extra bed I think and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. There were complimentary water bottles, tea and coffee and electric kettle in the room. Shower was powerful and TV screen was HUGH. We had a very good night sleep. The breakfast was included in our rate and it was one of the best breakfast I have ever had. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choices for hot foods, salad, fresh juices, smoothies, breads, fruits, etc. I really love the fresh berry juice, which remind me of hotels in Finland. The only downside was our room was not serviced on one day (maybe the cleaner missed it). However, all in all, we love our experience of 3 night staying in this hotel and would certainly considering going back again if we visit Warsaw in future.

I’m a hilton honors diamond member that just moved to the Westin (located nearby). If you are a savvy traveler that cares about value for money, I would suggest spending a few bucks more and go to the Westin (the rate difference today is just 100 PLN). Below are my reasons: 1. UNCOMFORTABLE BEDS. The beds are extremely hard and feels like sleeping on a flat table. After just a few nights i developed back pain. For sure, not hilton standard. It is ok to spend 1 or max 2 nights but not more. 2. POOR DIAMOND BENEFITS. You get access to the lounge (which outside the happy hour has basically no poor and is dirty). The food during the happy hour again is nothing extraordinary. Drinks are good though. Besides the lounge, there is no real tangible benefit in room upgrades. As soon as I checked in, I was “upgraded” to the only room in the hotel that doesn’t have curtains, which made me feel it was more of a downgrade. I had to go talk to them to change the room. I was given an executive room, which is equal to the standard, just higher floor. 3. STAFF COULD LOOK MORE PROFESSIONAL. Uniform, image, professionalism are important. Although the staff was generally kind, I think they did the minimum to do their job and that is reflected in the way they look and the way they behave. Moreover, staff in the gym is extremely posh and impolite (but this might be out of your control, since gym doesn’t seem to be owned by hilton). 4. AVERAGE BREAKFAST, but overall kind of aligned with the standard. So not much to complain. 5. AMAZING FITNESS STUDIO. Is there a positive note, and the reason why i don’t rate my stay 1 star, is because the fitness studio is most likely one of the best in europe. state of art equipment and semi olympic pool. Overall, if at least the beds would be decent, I wouldn’t mind staying in the hotel, although experience wise would be kind of average. For just a few bucks more, the westin provides a much much better experience and value for money.

We spent 1 week in this lovely hotel and our experience was really positive. It’s located about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. We ordered an Uber and the cost was under £10. The hotel is not quite in the centre of Warsaw but everything is close by and the public transport links were excellent. A real revelation was that most of the taxi rides with Free Now were under £3. Great value, especially if you are feeling lazy! Electric scooters are also available outside of the hotel and £1.80 for the day gets you unlimited free unlocks and 60 mins of free riding with Tier. Bolt, Lime and Dott also have scooters with similar offers. Warsaw has many bicycle lanes making cycling and scootering relatively safe. As others have noted, our hotel room was small. However, it comfortably accommodated 2 adults and a 14 year old. The bed in our room was king sized and our 14 year old slept on the sofa bed, which she said was very comfy. Housekeeping is every three days as standard but can be daily on request. All the staff on reception were lovely and friendly. Things like toothbrushes, sewing kits, sanitary products etc are available free of charge on request. Shower gel and shampoo are provided in the room. Our room had multiple power points and a few USB charging points. This meant that we didn’t really need to have a European adapter with us. The hotel is dog friendly and dogs can stay in your hotel room for a supplement of 100zl per night. Light sleepers beware! The hotel rooms don’t seem to be sound proofed so you will hear trams, emergency sirens etc from about 5am onwards. This didn’t bother us at all. More of an observation really. Breakfast is included in the room rate and we really enjoyed it. The offering is the same daily but there is a lot of variety. Lots of cold meats and cheese, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, pancakes, pastries, breads, cereal, fruit, yoghurts etc. Juices, water and coffees are also readily available. Vegans have a section all for themselves and this includes tofu scrambled eggs. This hotel shares the same building as The Crowne Plaza hotel and you can access the restaurants for the Crowne Plaza. We went to Nova Wola on the first floor. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the environment very classy but it was definitely pricey. There is a bar with terrace on the 21st floor. It gets busy, especially if you want a terrace table, so book in advance.

The location is excellent and convenient to go anywhere. The hotel is very good. In many places, the hotel with this grade has 1000 2000, which is very good. There are five or six convenience stores nearby, very convenient and very close. Carrefour is not the kind of everyone's happiness, Carrefour in Warsaw is a small convenience store, everything. If you are looking for a big supermarket, there are three steps down the golden stairs downstairs. The orange color on the left side of Figure 6 is Carrefour, and the hotel on the right side of the tall building with red letters is the hotel.

I chose this hotel as it's quite new. So all is in good condition. The bed is very good, not too soft or too hard. It has a very nice view on the City with those huge windows. The tv has chrome casting functionality which is perfect to go for netflix. Breakfast choices are very decent with wide variety of food. Very good quality as well. The downside that I have come across so far is: Restaurant service is poor. I stood in the front waiting for someone to bring to the table for a long time. Then when I was brought to the table, I found the chair being too low while I'm short, so I knew it would not be comfortable. I asked the waiter if there is another chair or table for me. He said it was not possible, while I could see many tables still available. After that, when I wanted to order, there was a lot that was not available from the menu. The presentation of the food was just so-so. I did also have to wait very long for service from the waiter. When checking in, I was asked if I wanted one more card so I could keep it in the slot for the room. I thought that was very good that they asked. But the next day, I noticed that the cleaning staff already took it away from the room. The desk lamp was not working, so I went to report it at the reception. The receptionist asked me if I tried to turn it on, which I felt it was a very silly question. So I told her yes, and I informed her that I checked it was also plugged in. When checking out, I had the same girl whom I went to for the light. I didn't feel very welcome by her. No smile or asking if everything was alright. And after she finished issuing the invoice, she didn't ask if I wanted an envelop for it, so I'd to ask for that.

An apartment hotel in a gated community. It should be noted that it is good to arrive at two o'clock. No one will open the door when it is early. I waited for more than two hours. Some foreigners are still very casual with people going to work. . The boss is a tall beauty, but he seems to have many such looks in Poland. Closer to home, a typical apartment hotel, newly built, suitable for a family’s ”living and cooking”. It has all the facilities and a large balcony. The apartment is not regular, and the cabinets and toilets are slightly higher. After all, the average height of people is higher than ours. It's a lot taller, and my 178cm toilet must have feet. It’s more convenient to eat around, and there are also small supermarkets. It’s a little far away from Carrefour to take a taxi. I walked to the old town, walking east and west all the way, forgetting how long it had passed. Overall it is good and the price is not expensive. Originally there were a few photos, but the Ctrip app did not know what was going on. It crashed after adding a picture, so I didn’t add it.
