Good day,
I'm leaving a genuinely neutral review, not because it's convenient for me, but because before checking out, I was ready to leave a negative one. However, the very positive attitude, understanding of the problem, and proactive approach by someone who I believe manages the hotel – I’m not sure – made a positive impression and experience, balancing things out.
The negatives were: firstly, no one fulfilled my request for a single bed, even though I booked the room well in advance when they were still available and mentioned it during booking. Furthermore, after booking, I called the reception and asked if it would be possible, and the gentleman PROMISED me he would do it, but he didn't keep his word. When I arrived late at night, I unfortunately got what seemed to be the last room available, as they couldn't switch it anymore.
My wife and I ended up in a claustrophobic, cage-like room with beds on opposite sides, impossible to even push together, and a non-functional air conditioning unit, despite it being quite warm. I had to leave the window open overnight, even though I was on the ground floor, meaning anyone could enter. This was a definite downside.
However, in the morning, when I was at reception to pay for parking and mentioned these issues, a VERY kind, smiling lady, who I believe manages the hotel, offered to compensate for the inconvenience by waiving the parking fee. She sincerely apologized for the troubles.
The bathroom in the room was fine, and breakfast was okay, so no complaints there.
Therefore, genuinely appreciating all of this, I can't bring myself to leave a negative review.
