This is a hot spring inn that can be called a guest house for the Mikata Five Lakes. Facing the mystical Lake Suigetsu with a depth of 36 meters, it has the atmosphere of a parlor in the back of Mikata Goko Lakes. The outside looks a little small, but the inside has been renovated and is clean. The lobby had a shop and comfortable sofas, and the large bath facing the lake and the slightly smaller open-air bath also faced the lake and were relaxing. We stayed in a twin room on the third floor facing the lake. It was quiet and relaxing. Lake Suigetsu is a valuable lake where varves from 70,000 years ago, which became the measuring stick of the world, were collected. The varve museum and Jomon museum are both 10 minutes away by car and easy to visit. I was surprised that there was no complementary water in the room. I would like to have a complementary supply of water. After soaking in the hot springs, we had dinner at a restaurant. We enjoyed grilled salmon, crepe-wrapped red sea bream, and sashimi, all delicious with Japanese sake. Breakfast was good with Japanese food such as grilled mackerel and boiled tofu. Thank you for your satisfying stay 😊

Good scenery of the lake. You can view sunrise when you're having breakfast in the restaurant. The chef at dinner time is very professional and care about customer. He asked our feedback during dinner time.
