Bertie’s on the Rooftop was a total disappointment. While the hotel itself was beautiful, elegant and classy, the dinner at Bertie’s deflated is. The hotel is full of character and the staff is friendly and professional. The turndown service was excellent. Then we made reservations for Bertie’s at 8:15pm. First, we never received linen napkins and our server advised that the kitchen had run out, even though those who were seated after us, were provided black ones, I think we saw white or beige ones initially. Then our server appeared to be the bartender and only helping out serving our table, we had reservations. The appetizers took an extremely long time to come out, it was not busy by any means. When they finally came out, they were lukewarm at best and not to the same standard that the food at The Magnolia Table had. I would recommend the hotel but not the rooftop restaurant.
