I recently stayed at Gecko's Resort and had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding. The rooms are spacious and well-kept, with a comfortable bed that made for restful nights. I especially appreciated the little touches like free DVDs available to borrow – a nice bonus for quiet evenings in. The location is great too – just a short distance from the beautiful Sigatoka Sand Dunes and the Pacific Ocean, so there’s no shortage of things to see and do nearby. One downside, however, is the Wi-Fi. Access requires a voucher, and if you're streaming videos (like on YouTube), the data only lasts around two hours. This was a bit inconvenient, especially in an age where connectivity is expected to be seamless. Overall, Gecko's Resort is a great option for a peaceful getaway with a few nice extras. Just be prepared to manage your internet usage or consider unplugging and enjoying the serene surroundings.

The resort is showing its age but is beautifully landscaped and maintained daily. There were few guests. The location directly on Queens Road, without direct beach access, is not recommended for long stays. The biggest drawback is the food on offer. I didn't get what was advertised on the menu (stuffed chicken in white wine sauce came as stuffed chicken from a packet with ketchup), and the already overpriced prices were suddenly billed in Australian dollars. That's unfair to the guests.

Simple family resort. Limited amount to do there but Shangri-la only a short walk away. Dinner time entertainment three times a week. Staff very friendly and accommodating

Although the all the staff are super friendly & helpful etc the maintenance of the rooms need attention. My shower head was broken so needed to be held by hand, the shower water was extremely difficult to get to & maintain temperature, the aerial/walesi wasn't working so no tv at all because it's also not a smart tv that you can use apps with. Lovely people & service but never again.

I’ve stayed here a number of times, the staff are very accomodating. The rooms are a good size and the pools are good for relaxing. It a good spot if your looking for some peace and quiet.

Nice place for a two night stay. Nice place for a two night stay. We used it as a base so to visit the Sigatoka Sand Dunes which are near by as well as a costal drive and inland hike to a water fall and swim. The resort was nice, a bit older with basic but clean accommodations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The oddest part is the three time per week Polynesian not Fijian dance performance. Guests from the Shangri La Resort come for the free show. The boisterous Aussies and Kiwis seemed to enjoy it. We thought it out of place. The only negative was an odd smell at times that seemed to be from sewage.

we are from Australia, it was my family's first ever resort stay and we totally loved it, they kids loved the pool and the fire and dancing displays. ocean was close 😊🏝 all staff were very polite and helpful. we will definitely be staying again in the future.
