Arguably may be, one of the best properties in terms of location, real estate and services. The Park boasts of ***icured lawns, gym, spa, outdoor pool, a sea-side restaurant with live music, a pool side restaurant with live wood fired pizza oven (and music) and to top it all - a private access to beach. BUT....... It also exhibits sad glimpses of a much grander past which the present is unable to match. The buildings ***** with almost all its amenities are well past their prime and badly need renovation, if not an upgrade. I stayed there for three nights in the month of March and found the hotel to be aptly suited for family vacation, esp with kids - goes equally well for a business traveller too. Rooms are spacius and offer a good view of Bay of Bengal unless your room is too far from centre foyer. Fittings are old and likely to invite maintenance staff at least once a day. Beds are comfortable and toiletries justify the room tariff.l The Park has multiple dining options and caters to all tastes. Food quality is slightly better than average neither but overpriced. Breakfast quality is good and spread is decent. F&B staff is polite and forthcoming although tend to get overwhelmed during rush hours. House keepers are doing a great job in maintaining a jaded palace. Front desk was most disappointing and hotel ***agement needs to pull up the socks here. We faced inordinate delays both during check in and check out. One of the front desk staff was even rude (Not naming him since I already complained to the ***ager who was very receptive of our feedback). So will I choose it again? Definitely YES for my family vacation to Vizag but NOT for my business trip. Notwithstanding, I sincerely hope that the ***agement decides to give it a much needed facelift as early as possible.
