Only a 3* hotel, but really nice. Reception staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly and polite. The rooms have lovely little balconies and the room itself had AC (I didn’t have to use it), was very clean and there were some nice little touches; a free bottle of water, a mini fridge, a good sized bath sheet, a bath mat and complimentary toiletries. The hotel is perfectly situated, with a nice walk to the marina and main town square. All-in-all, a very nice place

The hotel is conveniently located near beach and town centre. Very clean and well run. Room was good and cleaned every day. Pool area good too. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked. The breakfast staff were amazing- as the weekend was a bank holiday- they ran round like whirling dervishes restocking the food, cleaning tables etc. Reception staff helpful too. One point- no bottle of water in the fridge on arrival- I expect that after a long journey. Yes I’d recommend it

Have just returned home after a week at this hotel. I noticed it had mixed reviews. My personal opinion of this hotel is it was perfect for my needs. The hotel is very clean and spacious. My room and bathroom were spotless. Free air con, free safe. A very decent size fridge that kept contents very cool. Free wifi all over the hotel and no problems with it. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. As we’re the bar staff. A “hi” to Martin who was super sweet. A huge dining area that was very clean. Lots of choice for breakfast. Cereals, yogurts, fruit, breads, cakes, cheese, meats, preserves and honey etc. There was also cooked bacon, sausages, fried and scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms etc. Toaster at hand for toast. The bread rolls are baked fresh in the kitchen each morning and are delicious. My one and only negative is the choice of teabags. Needed three to produce one cup of weak tasteless tea. There’s a large sunbathing area with good quality sun loungers. The pool was stunning too. I would most definitely return to this lovely and well run hotel.

We are just nearing the end of our 10 day stay here, we have had a wonderful holiday, yes its 90% german citizens here and TUI should probably make that clearer when booking but part of me is glad they didnt as it may have made me book somewhere else, i have attended fitness classes in german but the staff made every effort to explain things to me in english and i enjoyed them just as much, my husband joined the tennis tournament and he had a great time, the german people he played with all spoke good english and they were laughing and joking together, my kids made some good friends too. The silent disco was wondeful having 3 channels on the headset, german, english and house music, it was so much fun. The bands and robins singers in the evening have been great. I havent struggled to get a table in the evening, in fact we have got the same table every night and our waiters have been wonderful. The food is world class and fresh. I was dubious about coming all inclusive as we normally go on villa holidays, but we have had the best time and wish we could stay longer. This is definately a 5 star resort, if you are booking just go with the flow their isnt really a language barrrier if you just put in the effort to speak to people. Thank you Robinsons we have made some great memories ❤️♀️️

DDavid R82Vila Real and Monte Gordo are two interesting destinations for practicing sports (running, cycling, golf, etc.) and this Hotel has the ideal characteristics for it. Location close to sports facilities, rooms prepared for a good rest and a breakfast with healthy, quality options suitable for athletes.

Another secret I’d like to keep to myself but my first visit to this oasis of luxury has to be complemented. The resort is beautifully presented with incredibly friendly helpful staff, It felt like I had the place to myself. The golf suites along the edge of the course are 6 star. I stayed in 822 and if you want a spectacular view this one is great. My three nights included two rounds of golf and use of the practice facility which was incredible value for money. The course is a Jack Nicklaus master piece with a wonderful selection of varied holes and a handful of spectacular par 3’s The course has suffered terribly from the drought in past years and there are one or two dry spots. However it looks like it’s on the mend and certainly didn’t affect my enjoyment. I will say there are multiple tees on each hole and my tip is to play from the one that suits your handicap. Neil is the head golf professional and did wonders for my aging game with just two hours coaching, he will advise you which tees will enhance your enjoyment. I really can’t say enough about this place and I’ll be heading back soon with my wife.

Very dated hotel but very clean. Not a lot of atmosphere for us, and staff although present were not friendly or inviting in any way. We were BB and the breakfast Buffett was very good. Lots of choice from cooked bacon, eggs, sausage and eggs to fantastic fruit, yoghurts, pastries and fresh bread and toast. We had lunch one day at pool bar, tuna salad for 2, very nice. The resort was very quiet, lots of bars and restaurants closed, even though our tour operators stayed open until end of October! We ate out most evenings but food repetitive, although some we would recommend. Tip we paid extra for Davies, it was worth it. Beach fantastic with a full wood walkway. Down size not much to do in MG, we visited Villa Real and took ferry to Spain, also walked to a town near by and got Uber back to MG only £4. Sorry won’t be back but enjoyed the break away.

GGuest UserThe resort consists of a hotel and an apartment complex. Hotel is old but attractive. Only the hotel rooms have a direct sea view. It consists of two floors without an elevator. The rooms are large, quite noisy, and simply furnished. Shower in the bath, small fridge, and good, wide beds. You can boil water. Cleaning every day. Very friendly staff. From the room you walked onto a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. And via steps directly into the large and beautiful palm garden and further directly to the dunes and the sea. Wonderful! And what peace! In the garden there is also a large swimming pool with sun loungers. So everything at hand. Breakfast very complete and very good. Through a double discount promotion we only paid 45 euros per room including breakfast. So in February. The disadvantage is that you either have to go to the village for dinner every evening with a hotel bike or your own car. Hotel restaurant closed.

GGuest UserHotel was very close to the beach with bars and shops within easy distance. A lovely decorated foyer area with good helpful staff. Room was adequate but not large. A small balcony overlooked the road and a side view to the beach. beds were good and the only down side was there were no hot drink making faciklities. It had 2 lifts, one of which was out of action for our stay, this wasnt really an isue as the hotel didnt seem that busy, nut could be a bigger problem when it was. Room was attended to and beds made every day. I thought the restaurant was lovely well set out and not to busy, although it was just out of season. The restaurant staff were probably the most attentive I have yet to see in a hotel. always smiling and removing used plates and utensils quickly. Breakfast was a good a great choice of prepared fresh and tinned fruits, a small choice of hot food, yogurts, pastries, cooked meats etc. Fruit juice, tea and coffee machines. Evening meal always had a soup, choice of fish and meat, along with selection of vegetables. a huge array of salad items and probably the best display of chilled deserts ive seen in most hotels. The only down side to the food was.. I never had any food that was actually hot, it all seemed just luke warm to me. The roof area was quiet and the pool not large, but adequate for a little dip. A bar was open on the roof if you required a drink. All in all, a great 5 days away at an unbeleivable price for what we got. SHould I return to Monte Gordo, I wouldnt hessitate to stay again.

The GOOD: all the staff were welcoming, professional & accommodating; particularly the bar & kitchen staff. The pool area was clean and welcoming. The BAD: one of the reasons we chose this property was the ‘ free parking’ - which turned out to be an issue. When we arrived and were unable to locate any available parking and advised the front desk where we parked (in a parking lot behind the building across the street) - we were told - “not a problem” - until we were ticketed. Then we became aware there were only a limited amount of CASABLANCA parking spots - which were all full - we advised the front desk staff a lot of the vehicles didn’t have the hotel parking sticker…they didn’t appear to care as did not act on the vehicles parked there without hotel stickers…. The bathroom had ants on the floor & counter - we then kept our supplies in the sink which until then didn’t have ants - and then they invaded the sink. A few times I woke up to ants crawling on me. The air conditioner would often make clunking sounds and then proceed to shout out chunks of ice in the room…. The bed - we’ve never experienced such a hard mattress… The UGLY Probably because if the moisture from the AC unit on the balcony, mold was in the corners of the balcony… We initially thought about vacating- even if it meant losing our $ we paid upfront for the 3 nights - however there was extremely limited availability in the vicinity and there appeared to be parking issues with those properties and we’d take a chance on those being an improvement - so we endured and chalked it up to ‘ adventures in travel’

Very good European hotel for ”three stars.” Staff friendly and always ready to help.Aquarium on registration is quite large and spacious.No bullying on animals I have seen.Bed and towels are always clean.Of the toilet Appliances are only soap.All the rest you can buy in a gastronomy at a corner-cheap and available.Rooms and showers are spacious.There is a small ”kitchen” with a refrigerator, tile and microwave stove.All the food cooking facilities: pans, jars, knives,forks,slippers,a teapot and even a pad for wine and wine glasses.washing and kitchen towels.Wide balcony with table and chairs.The air conditioner works perfectly.On windows shadowy pillows.But the most important dignity is the location of the hotel.It is located in The very centre of the boulevard and two steps from the beach.I recommend visiting the VistaMar restaurant - delicious food and acceptable prices.Also cheerful and hospitality staff.

We love staying here! The staff are all friendly and welcoming. They are very helpful and speak good English. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty with fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, a selection of breads and cold meat/cheese/eggs/yoghurt. The apartments are clean and comfortable. With a large balcony they are also very spacious with plenty of room to relax. The bathroom has a bidet (perfect for rinsing swimsuits etc!) and a powerful shower over the bath. WiFi this time was good in the room but it’s always strong in reception! This is not a luxury hotel! It’s a clean and comfortable apartment that makes a perfect base whilst exploring the beautiful beaches and surrounding areas here in the Algarve. Highly recommend!
