Hotel Konig

Vienna|2.61km from Central Cemetery
Stopped for 2 nights with the staff. We had an early departure from Vienna on Monday, so did not manage to arrive on the first bus from Nitra. We decided not to come for one night, but for 2 to see Vienna on Sunday. Hotel was booked in advance, days for 10. Choose long, booked through booking. Choose the cheapest of the hotel offered for two. The price was lower at the expense of two layers beds. Yes, the room itself is small, less than other options. But for ”nighting twice” we seemed enough. Ok. Paid and calmed down. How was it when we arrived to hear that this number is one person!!!! Shock. The ruin is money not small, about 180 euros. And after all there were options and more cool hotels in the same microdistrict, for 203 euros for two in 2 nights, for example. I open my booking office and show that we booked a room for two!!!!!!! The porter has been talking to someone for a long time on the body, says OK, you have to wait until the hour of the day. I have a very bad English, so I call my husband, give the porter the phone, and he confirms that everything is OK, but you have to wait until the hour. Leave a bunch of suitcases, backpacks with notes practically on the floor between the registration and the dining tables, because there are no storage cameras, there is no receptacle as such - a narrow space is re-equipped under the cafe, or how they call themselves loudly the restaurant. Standing in front of the counter with the porter almost tight pops to the nose of breakfast guests is not the pleasant ”poza.” The porter is also the waiter, who runs away to the kitchen, to the microwave, Then to the client .... The nightmare from which I wanted to leave quickly. We took the most necessary and went to Vienna. From Vienna returned about 17 hours, and we were immediately pleased that we should pay 46 euros for the room. To say that we were upset, it is just to keep quiet. We tried to explain again, show the reservation, but the porter said or pay up or one person. Ok. We made up and asked for an invoice. We were told they would give us in the morning. Ok. Next, you can get into the room on a small elevator that runs by the key. The porter saw, I was in shock and couldn't start the elevator, but I didn't hurry to help us. I had to ask, though he was standing right next to the elevator, in a metre away and watched attempts to insert the key and press the floor. Who should guess that the key must still be turned in the lock. Personally I did not have to face such flood lifts. Room ... I was struck by its tiny and unthinkable door. If you open the closet, the entrance door and the door of the bathroom are blocked. Why not put the door closet on the trails? It is fair to say that the room was perfectly clean, the batteries all worked (it was the end of October, it was cold and we included heating in the room and in the bathroom). There were towels in the bathroom, liquid gel near the washing machine and in the shower. No claims. Everything in the bathroom and toilet worked perfectly, one pleasure. Here's not the room you can say. There's no tumb under the suitcase, only one chair,

Ibis Budget Wien Sankt Marx

Stayed here on a solo trip four night trip to Vienna, and found it more than adequate as a base to explore from. Check-In was smooth and quick despite it being late on a night, and the reception staff more than friendly and welcoming. The room itself is what you would expect from a budget hotel and the price paid for it. Basic needs met with a good shower, reasonably comfortable bed, TV with various language channels. No frills stuff you would expect. The hotel and rooms could use a little sprucing up though. Showing signs of wear and tare due to high volume of guests etc. Worn down hall carpets, walls marked and needing painted over etc, but nothing that will ruin your stay. Breakfast, which was a paid optional extra, was a cold buffet but more than adequate in my eys. Plenty of cereal, bread, rolls, cheeses, meats etc. So ihad no complaints about it at all. There was no bar facilities, but does have vending machines. Location wise...it is a wee bit out of town. No bars or restaurants around it, but it is very close to the Gasometer Metro station and you can be in the city centre within 10-15mins using the metro. I bought the 17 Euro 72 hour pass ticket and it was well worth the value. There is a couple of supermarkets right next to the hotel, but they both shut early at around 7.30 at night. If I visit the wonderful ciity of Vienna again, I would not hesitiate to use this hotel again. Although, it maybe a bit out of the centre, but for price alone and decent links to the centre it makes a good cheap option for a base to explore Vienna.
A&t Holiday Hostel

We were a large group of 165 students and spent a week in December at a&t Holiday Hostel and were very pleasantly surprised by our accommodation. The check-in was very quickly and easy despite the size of our group, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very spacious and clean. The hostel is located in a residential neighborhood, so it was relatively quiet. In the bathrooms (every room had one) were large mirrors mounted and alongside the shampoo/douche gel there were even cosmetic clothes, which I usually know only from hotels but not from a hostel. On breakfast buffet I can say that it was more than enough and the quality was also very good (According to local information, honey and cheese are even from domestic production). We had ordered the dinner menu when booking and these were also extraordinary good (3-gangig, part also for vegetarians). The receptionists have always given patience in questions (in particular our students), whether they had a lot to do at the moment or not. The hostel is located in a slightly southern part of Vienna, but through the near metro you could reach the city centre (Stephansdom) very quickly. All in all it was a very pleasant stay, the price-performance ratio is excellent and I can only warmly recommend the hostel.
Jimmy's Apartments Lory

Very equipped and cozy apartment at an excellent Location for a very good price! Big recommendation. We stayed for 3 nights and it has everything you need, bathroom, kitchen, large bed with all accessories and the apartment size is fairly big. You get also coffee machine with capsules which is a great plus. The Location is more than good since it is 5 minutes away from U3 and you can get to city centre in 15 minutes. There are some good pubs and restoraunts around the block as well. You also get access to luggage room with a keylock so you can leave your stuff on departure day and still use that day to go out before your trip back. The host was amazing and we got everything we asked and they were very nice and kind. 10/10 would recommend and I’ll be back if I am in Wien any time. Only problem is that if you wish to Cook or wash your Clothes you need to bring or buy an oil or detergent.

Hahn Hotel Vienna

When we arrived, the reception was open, receptionist gave us a key from our room and information that breakfast is till 9 am (btw everywhere at the hotel is written till 10 am). She really was not friendly, so we did not ask her about parking, we tried to find some information on the internet (which is free in the whole hotel 👍🏼). The hotel is in parking zone, which is not free, we had to park our car 10 minutes far away from the hotel (6€/day), I read here that parking is available in the yard, but during our stay there was some reconstruction (maybe this is the reason why receptionist did not offer to us free parking). The quality of the room really is not 3 stars (no fridge, poor air conditioner, very poor cleaning, dirty walls - it looked like a cemetery of insects, no vacuumed carpet). After opening hours of reception we have noticed that our room is infested by ants! There was a lots of them and around bed and because we have noticed it approx.4hrs after our arrival, we had them also in our luggage! So I went to the reception which was already closed but there was an emergency phone number - which is by the way written wrongly(marked by yellow in the picture)! I have tried find some other phone number (marked by blue in the picture) on the hotel’s web site, the number was not available but the answering machine “told” me some other phone number which finally worked (marked by green in the picture)! The man on the other side asked me to call after 10 minutes, that he have to discuss this issue with hotel’s manager. After 10 minutes I called to him again and he told me a special code to the machine in front of the hotel and there we got a key from another room. In the morning we went to the reception to return the key from the “ants room” - receptionist asked us what happened and when we explained her the situation with ants she did not apologize, did not give us any small compensation instead of this she looked at us like we are crazy. Beds in the booth rooms were uncomfortably soft and instead of one double bed there were two beds knocked together which would be fine if they would hold together, because when you woke up in the morning there was not one double bed but two single beds and hole in the middle. The location of the hotel is fine - close to the metro station or tram station, breakfast good. They should improve the staff and do something with the walls (spots after killed insects) in rooms and improve the cleaning of the rooms.

It's perfect! The hotel is comfortable, and the room is small but with reasonable layout. It's convenient in transportation. The subway U3 and 71 bus are nearby, and it is very convenient to go to various attractions. We took the flix bus to arrive and depart. U3 line is four stops away from the hotel.
