Hotel Mocca

The hotel itself is not deplorable, in the sense that it has quite pleasant and clean rooms, even though there is no air conditioning or a fridge. The location is also convenient, not far from the metro and on a street with bars and restaurants. The big problems, however, are two: breakfast and the manners. In my case, one was very serious. When booking I called and asked if their breakfast also included gluten free products since I am celiac. They told me yes, which was also confirmed upon arrival when I checked in. Instead, at breakfast the next day, they were totally unprepared. Not only that… after half an hour they found some packages of frozen gluten free bread (and nothing else) and they were defrosting it for me. So what? You might say… They were heating it up on the grill where there were croissants or bread with gluten. Luckily I noticed! Is it possible that nowadays we still have to repeat that celiac disease is a (serious) disease and not a whim?? Of course, the rest of the breakfast was also miserable, eh… just a few things. The next day, you might say, will they have organized themselves? No way, same story… but with more rudeness. A boy in charge of breakfast had a fit of rage in front of my requests, slamming the freezer door and going to the kitchen, cursing who knows what. Terrible experience. For goodness sake. Never again
