Garner Hotel Vienna by IHG

There were bugs crawling on the floor. I stayed on the fifth floor, which had a fan, but my two friends on the second floor didn't have one, even though we all booked the same room type. The mosquitoes and bugs indicate a lack of cleanliness. The sheets had stains, and there was no air conditioning, making it sweltering hot in the summer.

They gave me a room that was already occupied. Wouldn't you be scared to walk in late at night and hear someone snoring? Then they moved me to another room that hadn't been cleaned... After I complained, the next day they kept banging on my door to clean the room (even though I was checking out in 2 hours).

The location is excellent, just a short walk to Line 1 and right opposite Vienna Central Station. The neighborhood feels very safe. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful. For under 500, the room offers great value for money.
