The Outlook at Victoria Falls

Shout-out to the staff, they did their best and that's where the nice things end. The hotel is not complete as per the pictures, I talked to a few locals who are aware of the situation and in a small city with better choices, then go ahead and book with those venues, even the Backpackers spot. The room didn't have a bathroom door, no shower curtains, the bedside power outlets weren't functional, no A/C, just a little fan, a wobbly sink in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi went out for a night, which is inconvenient in an area when an esim is about $100 and the roaming is nearly impossible, but I came to find out that the internet was coming from the hotel next door! Same owner by the way, who has been fighting in court for this new location to open sooner than it should have. Avoid when you consider some of the better options for the price.

Hot water challenges. Improvements still need to be done on the general building as well as guest services. Staff were okay.

The amount of money paid is not worthy the service. Its extremely terrible. My last day was even worse. There was no electricity and water. No help was rendered when I wanted water.

No food- the only reason I could not rate 5/5 on facilities. The workers are honest. I had forgotten one of my phones after checking out. They contacted me and kept the phone for me for several hours.

The place has great potential. The rooms were clean, and the beds and linen were up to standard. The pool facing my room was definitely the highlight of my stay.It created such a relaxing atmosphere. There are a few areas that need attention, such as the TVs, consistent hot water, and the kettle. Other than that, the environment is lovely, and the service was warm and pleasant. With a few improvements, this could be an excellent place to stay.

Good enough for a quick stay to see the falls. I like small touches like soft towels, air con, WiFi and fridge - plus the little carpet next to bed so I’m not walking straight on hard cold tiles. It’s very a very new place and very clean. Some things that could be improved on; There was no safe or hair dryer in the room. Bed was a bit hard and not overly comfortable. There was a breakfast menu with no prices - but no other information for guests. There was an extremely bright light outside my window. Even with the room blinds closed, I woke up several times thinking it was daylight outside. (And that’s with covering the bathroom windows with towels as they had nothing! I ordered a burger (which comes from the sister hotel next door - The Little Outlook) - it was terrible! Despite being told it would take 10mins I waited over 1hour and 20mins. What I received was awful - soggy undercooked fries, dry burger with hard stale bread and limp lettuce. Giving feedback and showing my plate with barely nothing eaten meant nothing. I would research other places that are also closer to the falls to if I were to return.

It was great. The place is convenient to Vic falls and stores around. It’s easy to navigate and it’s also serene. The only checking I found was breakfast was not easily accessible or prepped on time ; you have to order it a day before. And no alternative sources of electricityOther than that, it was lovely

Good location, not too far from town and really quiet…the staff is very attentive especially Byron, he was able to assist with booking activities, transport (taxi) and fix any issues experienced during my stay. Would highly recommend, can’t wait to see what it will be like once it’s all complete.
