Hotel Palace Verona

Excellent hotel not far from the historic center of Verona. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and quite spacious. There's a Lidl supermarket just 300 meters away. The breakfasts were fantastic and delicious. At the front desk, they offered us a map and marked all the main attractions in Verona. I highly recommend this hotel!

The room faced a main road, and it was incredibly noisy, with cars constantly driving by at night. The noise was so loud it was practically like sleeping on the street. The windows offered absolutely no soundproofing. I had to wear earplugs all night to fall asleep. 😵💫😵💫😵💫 The hotel service itself was decent. They didn't provide a kettle, but you could get hot water at their coffee bar. The hotel was reasonably conveniently located, with a bus stop right outside. This city is terrible. It's dirty, chaotic, and disorganized. I definitely won't be coming back. After exiting the city's train station, there's a huge, chaotic bus stop. One of the buses that goes to the hotel, I think it was a number 11 bus, was almost always packed, and many of the people standing next to it looked like pickpockets. It was a complete mess. The city's attractions were also awful. We bought a 29 euro one-day pass, and apart from the church, none of the attractions we visited were worth it. For example, this arena is practically a stage. And that tower thing, if you buy a ticket to climb to the top, you have to take an elevator up, and it seems like you need to catch some gas. At the top, it's just a small platform of about ten square meters, completely surrounded by wire mesh.

The location is very easy to reach on foot. The bus stop is right next to the hotel; line 11 runs through the city center, which is very convenient. Breakfast offers a wide selection, with something for everyone. The room was large, comfortable, and bright. I personally appreciated the coffee machine, as I'm an espresso lover. I would recommend it.

Overall, the hotel is good; it has parking and is relatively close to the center, about 40 minutes walking or 12 minutes by car. The rooms are a bit dated but clean. The breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly.

There is no soundproofing at all, you can hear people going to the toilet. It is almost impossible to regulate the temperature in the room. It is very cold and there are no blankets. Poor breakfast.
