While at first glance, the room looks okay but looks can be deceiving. I took quite a few photos to show what I mean. There were some hairs on the floor so I damped a piece of tissue, wiped up the hair and NO MORE than 2“ of floor and the tissue was filthy. Bring flip flops or alternate slippers. I then opened the mini fridge only to find a red spill on the bottom and a bowl of unknown substance. See photos. You’d think that management would at least check the rooms before letting guests in. Check your room before you agree to it. Continental breakfast included a very large jar of peanut butter and vat of vegetable oil margarine that anyone and everyone can dip into. Not too sanitary. Bring your own P.B. and butter. There were Hot Pockets in the fridge, strange. When I asked about the unclean conditions, I was told they just can’t get employees. Maybe check what’s ‘cleaned’. There are insufficient window coverings to keep the bright outdoor lights from hitting me in the face through the night and when I wanted morning light, I risked people looking right through my window, which one guy not only glanced in, he stopped and full on stared into my room. Very daunting. Maybe some kind of curtain or screen option in addition to the blind? Also, the bedside lamp only came on with the bright overhead light. No way to use only the lamp for a less bright option. There was no hair dryer. I didn’t dare sit on the couch or touch the TV remote before sanitizing everything. I know, you get what you pay for, but the charge was way overpriced for what I got. The TV was nice, the front desk employees were nice. Otherwise it would be a negative 5 stars. I will definitely not stay at The Sage again.
