Golden Tulip Varna
"As part of a tour, we spent a night in this recently built, comfortable, clean hotel, very close to the city center. You can use this hotel as a starting point for a walk around the city center: the cathedral is a 5-minute walk away."
Hotel Palitra
"I liked it, everything was good overall. The location is excellent, the attitude of the staff is also good, the room was cleaned well. A small cozy room."
Ibis Styles Golden Sands Roomer Hotel
"After a thorough research we have chosen this hotel because of good reviews. The hotel is very clean, bright and with an amazing customer service attitude from all staff members (except the lifeguard at the swimming pool who was not very pleasant). We had a few issues in the room on the first day, but they were attended at the same minute we told and resolved very quickly. Our stay was smooth and pleasant. We loved the fact that the hotel was not big and there were no activities or program - just a place to rest. "
Apollo Spa Resort - All-Inclusive , Indoor & Outdoor Pools & Individual AC in Every Room
"The best hotel I have ever stayed, everything was perfect thank hotel’s stuff and others"
Ventura Boutique Hotel
"I really liked it, the room was clean, cleaned every day, the room is dark, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage, breakfasts are good, you have to order what to take care of and the quantity, but for me it was sufficient, the service was very nice, helpful. The neighborhood is quiet, there are shops and bars, unfortunately in bars you pay in cash. The beach is close, you can get to the center by bus almost from the hotel about 20-30 minutes. To the airport about 50 minutes with 1 change in the center."
Bonita Hotel
"Let me start by saying when I read reviews on here about things I normally think well that's their opinion and it could be different for me..well on this occasion I wish I'd taken note of the reviews because it was awful. Good bits.. Lovely reception staff.. Always had smile for you no matter what time of day. Comfortable bed... I want to know where they got it from so I can have one. Beach...The beach is only a 2 min walk across the road. Bad bits.. Food inedible...my son isn't a fussy eater but even he couldn't eat it. There were 2 choices but it was cold and swimming in grease, when they went to fill it up they put the new food on top of the old food, only 1 choice of cold meat and bit of salad which I might had was covered in fly's, tiny pieces of same cake every night and not much of it once it was gone it was gone. Sleep...Loud music from German bar across the road from lunchtime until gone midnight even with balcony door and bathroom window closed you can still hear it ,yes I know that's not the hotels fault but surely there is something can be done about it because you just can't sleep for the noise and you certainly can't sit on the balcony enjoying the fantastic sea views. Towels.. they only change them once in a week..went down to find out why but they said it's the hotel policy !!!! Pool area.... plenty of sun beds but a lot of them broke...pool area isn't very big and the pool is more of a plunge pool not swimming pool... There is no entertainment at the hotel but you are only a minute walk away from the bars and shops and yes that awful loud German bar too..This is more of a 2* plus hotel NOT 3*."
Royal Beach
Ensana Aquahouse

HVD Nympha Hotel - All Inclusive, Private Beach & Free Parking - Adults Only
Azalia Beach Hotel Balneo & Spa
"I chose this hotel to spend 1 May and Easter Holiday for this year. Location: The location of the hotel is good, is not far from the small city center, there is an ATM next to the hotel. Parking: In front of the hotel there is a parking space for maximum 10-15 cars. We paid around 10 leva/day. Is good to park near the hotel, we saw some cameras next by because the parking is not guarded. If you do not find space near the hotel, they will redirect you to another parking with whom the hotel has agreement. Room: We got room 207, on the same floor with the restaurant. First I was upset, thinking that the smell will come into the room but no, it was ok. The room was amazing, front sea view, 2 balconies. It is amazing to sleep in the night and to hear the sound of the waves. The room is big enough, equipped with everything, even bathrobe. Cleaning: On this chapter, the hotel is not so well. I was disappointed about the cleaning, when we entered the room it was not very well cleaned, there were stains on the wall, on the carpet. During our stay we did not let the housekeeping too often to come into our room. Beach: The beach is large, is amazing, clean but with small stones. In some parts of the sea the entrance is deep, in other is ok. The staff should step in when they see the clients bring on the beach portable speaker and put lowed bad quality music! It was disturbing for us and we needed to take our things and move to another part just not to hear that music! The restaurant, bars & food The restaurant in the first days, when the hotel was not crowd the food was at a very high quality. Not so many choices but tasty. After 3-4 May, when the hotel stared to be full, the option for the food became larger but lower quality. The beach bar offers just French fries and some meatballs. The ice cream was very good. The only bar that serves alcoholic drinks is the lobby bar, even if they sell as Ultra All Inclusive, most of the drinks are local ones. Only some gin is international brand, beside this, Bulgarian drinks. The bartender is not making cocktails, he gives you the alcohol in a glass and you need to go and add juice and make yourself a cocktail. This is the first time when I experience this. For the Easter Celebration I expected more, on the Easter night in the reception there were eggs and sweet bread but for the lunch or dinner nothing special. Swimming pool & Spa In the rainy days the indoor pool was so crowded, they said is with mineral water but I doubt that, I smelled a lot of chlorine. We enjoyed the sauna. Overall, I can recommend this hotel because of its position, right on the beach. The view from the room and the balcony was amazing."
Prestige Hotel and Aquapark - All Inclusive
"Prestige Hotel & Aquapark, Bulgaria – a scam from start to finish. 3 days with the same towel, and if you want to change it, it’s 10 leva. The food? The same every single day, bland and unimaginative. The room smells like garbage because of the dumpsters right outside. They lied about having a beach – there isn’t one! And if you want a sunbed, it’s 12 leva. All-inclusive only in name; in reality, it’s all-exclusive. I wouldn’t recommend it even to my worst enemies."
Luna Beach Hotel - All Inclusive
"We have been to this hotel three times. In principle, we were satisfied with the price-quality ratio. But this year, something went wrong. First, they removed the ice cream. They left one machine by the pool with a mini portion for which there was a huge queue. And this is only from 15-16.00. And once they gave it to us for dinner in the restaurant. When you go with 4 children, this is a significant minus, last year and the year before last, everything was fine with the ice cream. 2. We caught an intestinal infection (we were not the only ones) on our floor people were vomiting right in the corridor and it was not treated in any way. I smelled the chlorine only once already on the 5th day of my stay. The rest of the time, it all safely spread throughout the floor. An ambulance was called to the neighboring room because of the child's vomiting. 3. The rude attitude of the staff, not young but older. from the cleaning ladies to the man who hands out pancakes in the restaurant - the conflict with him happened because I took 4 pancakes instead of the 3 I was supposed to. When I said that I had 4 children, he just started making faces and yelling at me. In front of me, the administrator from the restaurant yelled at the visitors in a very rude manner. 4. A strong smell from the sewer. And in two different rooms. (We rented two rooms) The cleaning lady attacked us, saying that it was our fault. 5. This year, a stage was installed opposite the hotel, where concerts and karaoke are played until 10:30 pm. This stage does not belong to the hotel but to the resort - but it was very disturbing in the evenings. Pros: convenient and close location to the beach and the sea. Basically, delicious food. There is a place to relax if you arrive early or need to wait for a transfer."
International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites
"They charge you 5 bgn for printing a few sheets of document, what a joke. You better not speak bulgarian with them, the service will be terrible. Apparently, only foreigners are treated well. In any normal hotel you will not be charged a cent for such a small thing."
Astor Garden Hotel
"Hello Hotel looks super good, rooms super ok but in the relationship with the tourist, at least at the restaurant, it is pathetic they had problems with the dispenser one of the days and I was told to go to the room to get water, English is a problem for 90% of employees At the restaurant, if one kind of food range out, only something else was brought Including the famous Bulgarian pickles, they were no longer brought This is not allowed in a 5-star hotel Too bad for the beautiful building The hotel has 3 beaches, one of which is "hidden" for the hotel's customers, only by chance did we realize that that beach is also for us At all beaches it is allowed to rent sunbeds and umbrellas against money, in the conditions that they do not have enough sunbeds for tourists staying in their hotel I will definitely not return to this hotel PS. Note 10+ for Umit from the lobby bar"
Villa Chinka by Astor Garden Hotel - Adults Only
"Beautiful place with amazing staff and cool chilled atmosphere, the place has the right balance between chic and relaxed, the owners made amazing job by keeping the place familial and at the same time professional, they sent a cake for my partner’s birthday which was a nice and thoughtful, the food in all the restaurants is outstanding and the staff will do anything to make the customer happy, the restaurant next door more is also amazing and is a must try."
The Palace Hotel, Sunny Day
"The service is terrible for a 5 star hotel. Only the maids were doing their jobs, although no matter what they did, the stench wafting from the bathroom pipes couldn't help but wake us up in the morning :X The air conditioners in all the rooms are set to work equally weakly and when a person walks down the corridor, he sees how people have opened their room doors because they are dying from the heat inside.. and this is a 5-star hotel! Paying BGN 500 (EUR 250) per night, we were accommodated in a room overlooking the park, where every morning at 06:30-07:00 they were sweeping the street in front of the hotel with some kind of machine that woke us up in the early hours of the morning, even though we had been assured by the reservations department that rooms with a park view are quieter than those with a sea view. The TV in the room restarted every 10 minutes by itself and the fan in the bathroom didn't work (when we asked the reception about this, we were 'reassured' that the fans in the bathrooms in the whole hotel didn't work, it wasn't just our room :@). After 3 nights in this terrible room, we moved to another one with a sea view. For this room we paid BGN 550 (EUR 275) per night and our last night at the hotel we couldn't sleep at all because there was some noise from the pipes in the bathroom - every 7-8 minutes there was a terrible banging in the the pipes from the room next to us. When we called reception to report this they didn't even bother to come to the room to check what was going on and we had to call them further and go down to the reception several times to inform us that there was nothing they could do and they didn't even offer to move us to another room.. the next day when we talked to the manager, he said that he could compensate us by treating us to 2 pizzas... and so, for a sleepless night that costs 550 BGN, they compensated us with 2 pizzas for 30 BGN... : And this is the first hotel we've stayed at where we had to pay for our nights in advance so they could be sure that whatever happens they've got their money.. otherwise they'd have a lot of denied payments for such cases like ours, but they know this very well.. No matter how much we talk, we still have a lot to learn from our southern neighbors in terms of hospitality and kindness, so our tourism will still be at the same dying level : In short - we would not set foot a second time in this badly-renovated hotel, which does not even deserve 3 stars."
Hotel Perunika
"The food is amazing, varied. The food is delicious. The pool is open until late. I recommend it. I recommend it to everyone. Come visit."
Apart Hotel Golden Line
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The resort is well-maintained, the food is varied and of high quality, and the entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We’d especially like to highlight the young animators – you’re doing an amazing job! Your energy, creativity, and positive attitude made each day special. Whether it was sports, games, or evening shows – there was always something going on, and it was clear that you love what you do. Thank you for the great time – we’d love to come back! ⸻ Let me know if you’d like a more casual or formal version And alex svetlozar gabi and martina"
Arena Mar Hotel and Spa
"The hotel is very nice, the staff are very nice, the inside pool is great and warm, the family room is big, has 2 bathrooms which is great when you travel with kids, the location is great, the breakfast is great while there are a lot of guests in the hotel, at the end of our stay when there weren't a lot of guests in the hotel- the breakfast wasn't fresh every day, the bread was with mold on it, the pancakes were dry and felt old, the desserts also felt very old and dry like the staff didn't threw it away and just keep putting them out over and over again every day "
Hotel Sunrise Golden Sands
"We had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Hotel in Golden Sands! The hotel is clean, comfortable, and located in a great area close to the beach. The food was delicious with a good variety of dishes, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. A very special thank you goes to the animation team, especially Presi, Eli, and the boys. They brought so much energy, positivity, and fun to every day of our vacation. Their activities, games, and evening entertainment created an amazing atmosphere and made our stay truly memorable. They are talented, professional, and genuinely care about the guests having a great time. Thank you, Sunrise Hotel, for a fantastic holiday. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and would love to come back again!"
Marina Grand Beach Hotel - All Inclusive Plus
"The Hotel was great. You get exactly what you paid for. The staff were amazing, everyone was polite and helpful. The pool was big enough and had a great atmosphere because of the animation team. They were amazing and full of energy, especially Marti he was a great dancer. Every single day there was a different activity and at night the party’s were great."
Astera Hotel & Spa with Free Private Beach
"If you will stay here in summer time you don’t have cold water, A/C will work when that want, and the people from technical part come to your room to see the problem and go out. They don’t have any resolution for problem, only shrugged it off and say it’s not my problem. They have big prices for bad services, you will find cockchafer in reception. For sure I won’t come back here, I’m very upset at all bad services."
Melia Grand Hermitage
"I had reservation for 3 sea view rooms, 6 guests. We were accomodated in 2 sea view rooms and 1 pool view room. At the reception we were promised that next day they will change the pool view room with another, with sea view, but no change was made, even a sea view room next to us was available. The staff was not interested in helping us and to see us pleased as their guests. The hotel not a beachhotel as it written/seen on the site. The beach is not so far, but the hotel is not next to the beach. The beach bar has a poor offer. Just coffee, tea, water, local tapped wine and beer, icecream and that's all, no cocktails at all, or some better quality drink as expectable at a 5* all inclusive hotel. The entertainment was poor too, something at the pool area during the day, at evening at the stage. The staff not so kind, smiling (just very few exception) as we experienced at other Melia hotels. The main restaurant does not have a wide variety of meals, has shortages, like no spices, no olive oil, no croutons, etc. At the lobby bar, or pool bar no midnight snacks at all. The tapped wine, the juices, soft drinks, all local, had very low quality. They stored and served us the local sparkling wine at room temperature, not chilled. We had to pay at check out some international whiskey, that we have had as welcome drink at the lobby bar. We were told when we ordered the whiskey, that it costs 40 leva, but at the check out they've changed it to 40 euros. It was an uncomfortable situation, after a long discussion with the staff, which told us, that they tell the prices sometimes in euro, sometimes in leva (unacceptable explanation), we were offered a 20% discount on 40 euros, the final price. Finally I would like to express my disappointment about this hotel, which is definitely not a 5* hotel, I will not recommend it, never. Just to have Rituals toiletry and bidet in bathrooms do not make it a 5* hotel. I have been accomodated at 4* Melia hotels and I was very satisfied each time, they have been much, much better than this far undeserved 5* star Melia Grand Hermitage hotel, which does not represent Melia hotels standards."
