Palace on Ganges - Heritage Hotel

The hotel is reasonably well located, within walking distance of the Ganges. However, it is situated on a very busy street corner, and the noise level is substantial—both outside the hotel and inside the rooms. The rooms are marketed as luxury rooms, and even if *Palace on Ganges – Heritage Hotel* were to be reborn in Nirvana (to stay spiritual, given that we are in Varanasi), it would never come close to qualifying as a luxury hotel or luxury rooms. The property is worn down, and even a loving touch would not be sufficient—what is needed is a complete renovation. Most rooms have no windows, and hot water has yet to make its way to *Palace on Ganges – Heritage Hotel*. If I am to praise *Palace on Ganges – Heritage Hotel* for anything, it would be the restaurant, which serves simple but quite decent food. The restaurant staff genuinely do everything they can to ensure a good experience. One can only wish that this level of service had spread to the rest of the hotel staff.

The only thing going for this hotel is the location. This is not even a second rate hotel! Third rate at best. Shabby property. Breakfast in a dark basement with uninspired food. Far better, less expensive hotels within easy walking distance.

Location is Superb Due to staff Behaviour I am giving above rating my Booking was through Agoda and Mr Vikash Front Desk Manager took Rs1500/ in the name of Upgradation of my Room and you know what room they gave in the name of Upgradation 105 Sanchi where there was no any ventilation at the Same time I witnessed he took Rs1200/ for upgradation and gave him top floor so discrimination while two more floor was above my room that Hotel is for there for Ganga View only otherwise why to pay that hefty Breakfast Choice was very limited even I asked for Dosa it was not available only limited cane Juice was available Think before Paying hefty

I had a really disappointing experience at this hotel. I specifically booked two heritage upper-level rooms, but upon arrival, I was told only one was unavailable. Instead, the other room was a ground floor room with no explanation or offer of a refund or compensation, which felt very unfair. I overheard a domestic tourist shouting at the front desk the next morning complaining about the same issue. I did say that I would be posting the experience on Trip Advisor and they were unfazed. The breakfast was also underwhelming—very limited options and honestly quite boring. Definitely not something to look forward to. To make matters worse, there was no hot water during my stay, so I was forced to bathe in cold water, which was extremely uncomfortable. On top of that, the air conditioning kept switching off every 1–2 hours, making it impossible to sleep properly. I barely got any rest. Overall, a frustrating and uncomfortable stay. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

It is located at a good location, walking distance from the Assi Ghat. The rooms on the first floor are better. The housekeeping staff is helpful and ensures cleanliness. The restaurant serves delicious food. The restaurant staff ensures that you are fed well. Buffet breakfast was disappointing. Overall, the place is recommended.

The room was a dungeon. We could not unpack the suitcases as it was crammed. No place to take a shower. Refer room # 301

Rooms were noisy from outside till 2.00AM Room service was good. Hotel is in place a big car like Toyota entigra(Indian) can’t go in street. No parking place.hot water was lukewarm. Toilet and bathroom very tight, difficult to even brush. Aircondition control not working it was fixed at 25C
