Hotel Prabhat

The hotel is conveniently located in front of the station, and it's easy to get to the Ganges River by rickshaw for about 200 rupees. You can also eat at the hotel, so it was a relaxing stay.

Attentive staff. The room was clean and offered decent comfort with all the amenities: internet, air conditioning, and a fan. However, there were no coffee makers or tea-making facilities. Let's just say that standards in India aren't the same as in Europe or Canada. A 3-star hotel is often more like a 2-star, or a 4-star is often more like a 3-star. Overall, I still enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is easy to reach from the train station. The staff was friendly, though not very helpful unless asked. Like most hotels, they have a problem with cleanliness, which isn't always adequate, but if you request a thorough cleaning upon arrival, they will do it. Overall, an average stay.

There were a lot of problems, like the air conditioner not working and no hot water.

It was a relatively clean hotel in India. You can eat in a space that looks like a restaurant in the hotel. I was given a small bottle of non-foaming shampoo, a toothbrush and a comb. There were quite a few mosquitoes, so it's best not to open the windows in your room and to sleep in long sleeves and long pants.
